Quick update:

Its been a quiet summer on the tank front. I haven't added anything and have just been maintaining the tank. I have kept up with my maintenance schedule, etc. I changed 20 gallons of water and vacuumed the sand bed this morning.

I dealt with a bit of a cyano outbreak near the beginning of the summer. I used red slime remover to great success. I treated the tank 3 times over 6 days, and have completely removed the cyano with zero negative consequences to the fish or corals.

Yes. The only thing I changed was I turned off the protein skimmer for a few hours. Then turned it back on with the gate valve opened, then slowly closed it back down.

Thanks one last prolly stupid question

Where did u dose and if it was in the fuge did This effect ur refugium?

Correction two and three questions

u think I could get away without a water change after? and should I use a filter sock?

Running the triton method is why I'm asking

Thanks again I really look forward to ur videos

I dosed directly into the display tank in front of the Gyres.

I can't say about the water change. I only did one after doses 2 and 3. There was no visible impact on the fuge.

Just wondering how you mounted your gyre on the overflow? I also have a peninsula (40 Breeder only though) and would like to get another gyre to go with my existing one but dont know how/where to mount it on the overflow wall? Thanks!

Not that I noticed, but Alk consumption could drop as the corals go into "protect themselves" mode due to the chemical in the water. My Alk sits between 8.8-9.1 just about all the time.

The magnet is mounted inside of my Synergy Reef overflow.
