OK, so my tank is like 6 to 8 months old everything came out of my other tank that was about a year old. The only thing I really added was live sand because I went from a 55 to 125 I have been battling nitrates For what seems like months. I have the Hannah master checker and every test reach 75 which is where it maxes out. PH is 8.0 to 8.3 ammonia is o -.25 salinity is 1.023 to 1.026 or 32 to 35 temperature is 78 to 78.5 I have done so many water changes. It is ridiculous. I just completed 100 gallon water change and I have another 55 gallons ready to do it again tonight. I’ve tested my nitrates with the API kit. Reading 10 to 20 and a Salifert kit reading five my issue has been algae. It has completely taken over and killed most of my zoas and basically anything else I put in the tank I had over 100 snails. The only ones I really see anymore are the massive turbos my lighting is 3XR 30s. I turned the white light off and it’s set like 50% been changing filter socks daily. livestock was two blue Chromis one sale in tank about 4 inches one coral beauty 3 inches one orange shoulder tank about 2 1/2 inches still yellow and two clown fish and a cleaner shrimp. Last night I lost all of my fish except for the two clowns only thing I can think of is the grill was on and you could smell it in the house and it possibly raised CO2 levels in the tank. I am about to drain the tank and start over please help.
