I recently purchased two female Watanabe angelfish from Dr Reef.

I’ve always been leery of online vendors but everything I heard about Dr reef/quarantined fish/conditioned fish turned out to be absolutely 100% true.

For over a year, I’ve been trying to get these fish from two different LFS and they could not order them

Not only were they available at both of Dr. Reef ‘s websites but they were available in all sizes.

Unfortunately, one of my fish perished because UPS failed to deliver as promised. Two and a half days in shipping was too much for the 1 fish to handle. Nonetheless, the other fish arrived happy healthy, swimming, and eating immediately.

Dr. Reef was amazingly responsive and within five days I had a replacement fish which was more than twice as big as I expected.

The second fish was pickier than I had anticipated. Dr Reef customer responded both on this website as well as by email on helpful tips and suggestions. Moreover, and probably more importantly, they constantly asked to be kept apprised of how the fish were doing.

Now, two weeks out both fish have great color swimming well and eating well.

LFS never offer a guarantee. Obviously, Dr. Reef stands by theirs. Moreover, they never seem too busy to respond to their customers and help out anyway they can.

For these reasons, although buying online seems to be more stressful I am going to be a forever customer of theirs.
