A few months ago I can across a thread titled, My current QT process, it sounded solid and I tried it not knowing who these people who came up with this were. Let me tell you why I was looking for info on QT'ing. I was having as hard time getting fish through the QT process. I would loose fish after fish which started to add up financially, and it kept me from purchasing more expensive fish. I wanted to eventually buy some tangs and wrasses, which today can get up their in price. So I came across this thread, and the reefers seemed to know what they were talking about. Well, let me tell you these reefers are the QT hero's of many many reefers. I started to notice that this thread was almost going viral. Reefer after reefer was looking at this thread and using this method. I started to use this method and I went from 1 of 16 fish getting thru QT to 10 of 10, of which included a Purple tang, LT tang, Tomini tang, a Pintail Fairy wrasse, a Blue Flasher wrasse, and a Pink Streaked wrasse. I noticed that it wasn't only me recommending this QT method, it was a bunch of fellow reefers also recommending this method. Is a QT method fail proof, NO, is this method as close to it as possible, I would say YES. Nothing is ever guaranteed, but knowing that you have as good of a chance as currently possible to get a expensive fish thru QT is a great relief. I feel a BIG QT hero's thank you needs to go out to 3 reefers who made it possible for us to enjoy the more expensive fish. If their r more I am sorry for not mentioning you.

The 3 awesome reefers r @HotRocks , @4FordFamily , and last but not least @Humblefish

I wish there was a love button for your post @Billldg! :)

Thank you for the kind words. I am very glad to hear it is working well for you. It's definitely not bulletproof, we are still working out some kinks and will eventually update that thread. I did come across a virulent strain of Uronema that caused me some problems.

10/10 is a pretty good success rate. Mine is near 90% on around 100 fish so far using that method.

Well thank you very much, I don’t know what to say other than that.

We may actually be amending that process a bit better to cover uronema and brook soon, we are still in the testing phase. We can leave both up there to be chosen from, however.

By the time it’s altered, it will have had ~100 fish make it through. To be honest, @Humblefish was the brains behind it. @HotRocks and I went rogue a little but we were guided by the master.

We all three want nothing more but to have fewer fish losses and fat healthy fish in our display tanks!

Thanks very much for the very kind words. God bless!
