A ton of frustration later (Securing the pipes into it and everything) we have plan B of bobbitworm eradication.
The good ol’ bristleworm trap, I had “SO” much fun making it, but about an hour of a lot of “Ughs” and “Aghs” later. We have it! In the end I did putty the tubes onto the bottle yes.

Well, it looks as if something got into the trap but what it was I don’t know. I may leave it in for another day and a night to see if I take it out though.

Anyone got any ideas for if plan B fails?

Whoever allowed me to be responsible for my own money made a big mistake haha.

I’m excited to watch them go throughout my coral once the SPS grows in and think I have mentioned this exact species (I will have to double check theyre the species I think they are). I will get photos of both when they’re in acclimation for sure and then also when they’re in the tank.

Here they are in acclimation - I had them kept in the bag for a bit longer than usual as they were stressed enough and I didn’t want to add onto that stress. This is a species I’ve looked at over and over again and I finally found a pair!

Well, Atleast my Black Clown won’t be so lonely haha. Both of the T. tevegae darted as soon as they made it out of the bucket, both in different directions and both vanished. I found one on the back wall just above my acro - He moved and is now hanging behind the rockwork. The photo was taken when that guy was on the left of the tank and chilling behind the Turbo.

The other has yet to be spotted but the one I can see has the most amazing colours I’ve ever seen o na Trimma species! Cant wait to watch them hover around and throughout corals.

As I know many of you may be wondering what my micro fauna may look like, here’s some photos of the sandbed and rockwork! I personally love the algaes and microfauna in the sand as it has basically every colour of the rainbow in it!
What’s your favourite part of the microfauna in your tank?

Day 1 in the tank, it’s early morning (6am) - I woke up at 5:20am or so and looked at the tank to see this red thing darting around. I then watched him for a while and he finally went into areas where it hit the sunlight as well as was in a position I could get decent photos of him.

And a comparison for size, the Acro is probably an inch at the minute (Still showing areas of growth too).

So beautiful! It’s coming along so well! :)
Thankyou! I think I’ll do a Lysmata debellius (Fire Shrimp) and maybe a smaller species of shrimp then top it off for the inverts/fish and focus on coral after.
Here’s the stag from top down. I may take a bit of one of the branches off to see if that improves growth rates.

Here’s my three most cryptic fish! Discordipinna griessingeri and the Trimma tevegae pairing. The trimma’s look odd because there’s algae infront of them that I couldn’t get to (And their sheer size is a pain to get a photo of).

Been thinking of renaming my build thread, so far the name that came across my mind is;
9 fish and a Max Nano but I’m planning on making a seperate thread once I get great coral growth and show how I do it, this is more for the journey of it.

I’d love to hear ideas from you guys!

Ngl your tank is one of the most random things ever (in a good way). And I love it!
Maybe Rename it to; “that random nano”.
Your fish stocking is extremely unique.

updates on the bobbit worms?
I think I got them out, I havent seen any signs of a missing fish in a while and I definitely got one out of the tank, I’m pretty sure there was only one and if it did split I’m pretty sure I would’ve seen a few of them by now.

Yeah haha, also I just saw both of the Trimma’s but the second was way too fast to get a photo of when he was out. Both of them reside in this small cave (Or Atleast I thought it was small and only housed one but then both came out and went back in). The cave to the right of the Trimma is where they reside and it’s interesting to watch them as they look like they are a mated pair which is what I was hoping for. The reason I say this is as one of them is outside the cave, the other is in the cave and doing something then when the second goes in they seem to swap roles. Here’s one on guard watch, they’re truly fascinating fish to watch and act nothing like my other fish.
