It does, and it’s interesting as very few Trimma gobies have colours that aren’t red, white and brown.wow its color really is popping in this picture

Oh man, my photography really has come a long way! It really does show with enough practice and spare time you can do anything you want haha.
haha, it's been an absolute rollercoaster! Wonder what's next, probably going to end up down a different whacky roadRandom is the perfect title of this thread! From fish lover to softy/lps, to inverts…and now acropora!
Love this! I’m proud of this thread!
I mean, look at this and tell me he you’d expect him to make a come back - This was his polyps fully extended I’m pretty sure. It’s come a long way since then! The polyps are extended on the hammer so here’s a few photos of it:

Actually, I’ll check them now as I have been meaning to this weekGorgeous!
What parameters do you keep? Mainly Alk, phosphates, temperature, and how strong are your lights?
Alright! Don’t forget about the lighting part.Actually, I’ll check them now as I have been meaning to this week![]()
Dang. You are keeping high alk and lower lights I believe! That’s Dana Riddle’s recipe to turbocharge photosynthesis: increase growth rate (the last piece of the recipe is high flow). High flow, lower lights (around 200 par I believe) and high alk.Phosphates: usually .045 but are now .11
Magnesium: 1440 (Usually around 1440)
Calcium: 480 (Usually around 470-490)
Kh: 10.4 (Usually around 9-8)
Nitrates: 3
Ph: 8.0-7.8
Lighting - My PAR is unknown however this is my schedule (one RS LED 50).

Blue at its height is 65% and whites are 85%
That’s interesting to hear lower par is a good move to increase growth, I keep getting told it’s the opposite, you’ll get better colours though once they manage to take off!Dang. I usually maintain my alk around 8dkh, but I think it’s at 9dkh right now. My lights are super strong (around 400par) but my growth is nonexistent. I’m going to follow you because you obviously know what you’re doing!
That’s true. You need to choose between the 2: faster growth will lead to browner colors and better colors results in slower growth. That’s interesting to hear lower par is a good move to increase growth, I keep getting told it’s the opposite, you’ll get better colours though once they manage to take off!
Yeah, I think that’s what route I’ll take. I’ll focus a lot more on growth then get a few frags moved into my 4’ tank to colour up and then hopefully get some great frags to sell off - Usually I think spending 100s on a frag is ridiculous but if you think of the bigger picture it really isn’t too bad. That’s true. Since I am dealing with frags, I think starting with faster growth is better and then once they grow out I can switch to focus on coloration.![]()
