Wow! Your tank is really coming along!
Thankyou, it’s taken time and a lot of patience plus set backs but it’s slowly recovering and coming back to life!

I think that’s the Leopard Blenny not the Sailfin :)
Ok. I knew the Leopard was but I was thinking I read the Black Sailfin as well at one point. Couldn't remember.

Picked up some nice coral over the last week or so, decided to finally retry Millepora in the tank with;
Timebomb Mille - Right
Sunset Mille - Left
Red Velvet Mille - Middle

Oh man I’m bad at updating threads aren’t I.

A couple things have happened on this system - nothing bad, Infact this system is loving life!
So, starting on the coral side;
Due to my 5’ tank undergoing Prazi dosing I suffered a lot of coral death. This was entirely my fault as I chose to remove all the coral prior to the first dose. Now it was also a very hot day when I did it and it essentially cooked half of my coral from that tank - long story short, I got a BJD outbreak on my hammers (I lost all but one - well over a grand of coral dead).
So, what I did was moved my remaining LPS into the nano tank to prevent more BJD wiping them out - it was my most expensive Torches and the Bubble remaining which is arguably good.

Now, yesterday I also did an Amoxicilin, Ciprofloxacin and Iodine bath on the remaining LPS to reduce anymore BJD from spreading.
I also had a friend with a struggling elegance (the centre has pretty much all died off) and I managed to recover my piece of coral after my Majestic nailed it a few months ago. So I was willing to try and save this piece.
Now, it looked like it was 100% gone when it was brought in yesterday as the centre has pretty much bailed and the edges looked like they were going to die as well.
I did a Cipro bath the whole day on this coral and this is how it looked when I got home with it.

The edges showed some promise and I refused to bin it altogether even though it looked like it was going to bail.
So, when it was done with acclimation I did another Cipro bath with Amoxicillin and Iodine also in the water along with my other LPS.

now, I did that bath for about 15 minutes (longer than recommended with iodine I know), but it was a case of I wanted to be certain this coral had a good chance of survival.
Then it went into the main tank - a bit of moving around of my current Elegance was required and that guy is now at the very back of the tank. So here was the coral last night, clearly showing more positivity of survival as the edges seemed to be coming back.

Now, here it is earlier today

Nicely extending - it’s even more extended now. And showing so much more promise!!

Oh, and yes I got a new fish in that tank :)
I believe I lost my other Kaleidos Pencil to a rock fall in my 5’ tank so I placed him into this system to be certain I don’t lose it (If anything this tank undergoes neglect which is how it looks so nice at the moment).

Oh and I can’t forget about this guy!!

A black elephant snail (Scutus antipodes). He’s doing wonders for algae in this system. Plus, he’s weird and matches my Black Stomatella Snail.

Did I not tell you I got it again?
It’s at the back of my main goni section :)

Took me a bit to see it, but I see it!

The tips look just like mine. I call this coral “The Aaron Coral.”

I hope mine gets as big as yours!

I love the thick branches on yongei (I also love Formosa for this reason) as they grow. Mines just a tiny frag currently.
