Done some major update esp the sump area. I figure the tank is not mature enough to produce lot nutrition for the algae to grow on the ats. So I replace with the reef octopus skimmer and it made big differences in the color of the water. It producing lot of skimmate but still in the process of dial in n breaking down. Had it running for about a week now so here the pic

Whats that tube going from the skimmer collection cup back in the tank?
To me it looks like the skimmer cup is draining back into the tank?

Freshwater filter only or is it? Have you ever used an HOB filter on a saltwater tank?
