Hey all, just got a small Magnificent Angel over the weekend. doing well, eating like a champ etc. Wife wants a second. 220 gallon show. is this even a possibility?
Yes.
Especially if they are at different stages. Smaller or larger than what u have.
Use a mirror and rearrange half the rocks if there is fin nipping.

I just added an emperor. She is the last of my angels I wanted. My blue face has been harassing her but not nipping anymore. Make sure you feed them several times a day and keep the algae stations full.
I have ugly tank with a green hair algae because I feed a ton....but they are healthy and everyone is out. If you start with littles you should add them close together. I also put in the Majestic first so she would get established. She will be much smaller than the emperor when they are grown.
The lfs is out of vibrant and I don't want to do anything to change my "balance" by scrubbing everything down. My nitrate and ammonia is perfect.
I have an adult coral beauty
A blue face
An emperor
And a Majestic
You have a perfect size tank.
Enjoy watching them!

I read a bunch on here about diffusing aggression with other large fish, when my blue face got super obnoxious I added a mature Harlequin tusk he has been amazing at policing the ones who get naughty (lunare wrasse and the blue face angel) every fish is different but it's worth it.

When i added the Magestic, i added that Tusk too. I always believe in the 2 or more is better than 1 routine. Spread the aggression. My Yellow tang was a bit welcoming for the first few hours, but has chilled out a bit.

I have a 180 with two connected sumps they are kept about 45-50 gal of water my fuge is tiny but full of caulerpa I also have bio media ADD lol -balls, matrix, and the ceramic tubes that look like pasta I'm thinking about pulling some media and putting in a ceramic block so the sump looks more tidy...but when the parameters are so good I'm terrified to mess with anything and have a crash

One Showing dominance Hopefully the submissive one will clamp it’s fins and not challenge the other.
It is thank you! Since you told me what that was I was able to deal with it before too much damage. The emperor has a torn fun but no more actual nipping. The new fish is clamping and curling it's body now and the blue face just watches and swims away

I have the same fears. Also grow calupera. Works well. Wife really wants a emperor too. She's in love with large angels. So I'm hoping I can make it work.
