I can't remember if I asked this in here, but my wife REALLY wants a flame angel for our mixed reef 125. I'd love to get her one, but we're worried about aggression and corals. I know each fish is different, and honestly, none of our fish so far have been anything like what their normal description seems to be, so it's pretty much a gamble every time so far.

Are flames really that aggressive though? We had a female bellus angel that went completely rogue, attacking quite a few fish. Tank wasn't stocked much then either.

My previous main concern was our coppperband, but we've since given up on them and don't have any fish nearly that sensitive anymore. Any advice?
I've had one in my SPS dominant tank for 6 years with no issues. I haven't really had any aggression issues either. My recommendation = try to find a small one.

All the Flame Angels I had/have were/are fine (meaning never kill a coral). I always have Flame Angels in my reef tank.
I put a flame in my reef. It loves to pick my gonipora's. He picked at them so much that I moved them to the sump. Had to install a light. And of course he's not interested in going no where near it.

I would like to add a Swallowtail in my second batch of fish. Is that too early or will she be OK?

A foxface and two clowns will be already in with wrasses, gobies, and butterflies being the others on my list afterwards.

Picked up my second Angel (and final fish) today.
She’s about 1/3 the size of my regal and almost completely transitioned!

The timing of your post is coincidental. On Thursday I added a Regal to my tank which already had a Majestic...LOL. They get along great, at least for the last three days. The only troublemaker in the group is my juvenile Blueface who is about half the size of the Regal and chases the Regal away from its territory. It's a 300G so they have room. Nothing too concerning (no nipping).

I want to add a large Asfur and a pair of Swallow Tails soon to complete the angel collection. I find angels and tangs to be like African cichlids. You either have one or you have several (5+).

Please ignore the blade from my flipper which fell out moments before this picture.

My rescued regal is looking great! And I think the scarring from HLLE from its previous owner seems to be healing/fading.

It is beautiful. You could never tell it had HLLE. Feed freeze-dried mysis and plankton along with diced nori all vacuum rehydrated with Brightwell Vitamin M and AminOmega. What do you feed?

Thank you!
I’ve had it for a few months and you could see it much worse then (behind the left eye).

I feed it SFBs butterfly and angel, frozen mysis, nori, caulerpa, and I grow sponge for it.

You did a great job nursing it back to good health!

Lovely fish. Looks like they've already welcomed it into your tank.
She had a slightly rough welcome but it died down quite fast and she’s now happily gliding round the tank with ikea :)

Question for someone with more knowledge than I have. I am wanting a M/F pair of blue faced angels. My LFS just sent me this video. One is an adult(first one in video) and another has some juvenile markings still (second one in video) Would it be a safe bet to get them to for a pair or iffy? Not sure how long it takes to fully transition.
