HUH? why are chromis on the list?

Don't they need a lot more space than 40 gallons? (40 gal being the biggest nano size)

This is what was preached to me many times on the forum and at stores.. I've owned some in my 80 gal years ago... but I didnt keep the tank up and running long enough to witness any thriving.

I've currently got a pair of perculas, a yellow tail damsel and a mandarin in a 24g cube.

The mandarin spends his days roaming the little caves of the rockwork picking off pods, and eats frozen brine shrimp and bloodworms really well.
The clowns are a menace, with the female biting me whenever I stick my hands in there, and bouncing from bta to torch to toadstool the rest of the time.
The damsel just watches the clowns from a distance, usually hiding under the larger toadstool.

I did have a little lawnmower blenny for a few days, but it managed to get through the overflow combs and into the return pump chamber, where it got stuck and perished.

Wrasses and Gobies!

There’s so much variety in Gobies and the Wrasses suited for nanos aren’t very well known.

And not the main fish in the photo but in the background is a Yasha Goby.

My favorite I have is the Green Warpaint Clown Goby (stock photo below)
He is super chill, nobody bothers him and he doesn’t bother anyone.

Others I would like would be Blue Dot Jawfish and if I can find one cheap enough, a Flashing Tilefish. I think those could be kept in a nano. I have a 72DT/18sump, so not a nano.

I have two clowns, a new, juvenile randall's prawn goby, and am hoping to add a royal gramma and maybe a helfrichi or clown goby in my 20g cube. I also just saw red scooter blennies at my LFS and they were so fun.

Does he bother your coral?

In my 40G planted with macro algae, no corals, I have 2 fire fish, 2 pajama cardinal and 2 scissor tails dart fish. As it is a very peaceful tank, they are all out most of the time. A coral banded shrimp also lives with them.

They are all living in perfect harmony
