Well, this is looking about as bad as you could imagine. We are on the northeast quadrant of a screaming force of nature. Strong Cat 4 right now and if it doesn’t make it to an official Cat 5 it will be only a few miles per hour short. 20 foot storm surge will go well inland - like 35 miles or better. My house is within the range of the surge. Send us some good karma because the outlook is pretty grim at this point.
If you need help with anything when you return home hit me up...I'm free on the weekends and don't mind driving over to give you a hand with whatever you need.

Yep its a lawnmower...and just fed about 30 minutes ago, so pump is still off...first time I've noticed him do this.
They are one of my favorite fish and always do something curious or just plain weird lol.

Mine likes to stir up the sandbed...gets in a corner and shakes until he's created a hole in the corner and sand is floating everywhere ;Meh

That was very kind. I have no idea what to expect. A lot of people stayed in town and I am afraid that was not the wisest thing to do.

Yeah, I've been keeping up with it since I live on the coast as well, I hope that everyone that decided to ride it out walks away safe, but its not looking good at this point in time...

People are hung up with comparing this storm to Rita that hit here in 2005. This storm is stronger. I hope everyone gets out safe but I fear there will be casualties this time around.

Welcome to adulting.

So yesterday day was tough. Mark my good friend and best man in our wedding texted to say his nephew Tom died flying helicopter on fire fighting contract near Hood River, OR. Tom left three kids and his wife and an extended family that loved him dearly. His parents are torn up no doubt. My prayers are for his family and friends.

You all be safe out there. @Fin glad you are out of the path of the storm! Pray for your home and friends safety today!
I'm so sorry. :(
