skimmer question. is it ok if I go for a skimmer rated for a larger tank? im thinking of picking up a reef octopus Classic 150SSS 6" or something of similar rating because it will be perfect for my upgrade. any insight appreciated.
right now I only need the skimmer to raise ph but soon when this tank is stocked it will be super helpful

Yeah it was at 105 mph at 14:00...up to 110 mph by the time I got home at 15:15 and remained there until landfall at 16:00. We ok so far, guessing 35-40 mph constant winds, with gusts around 55-60. Had a couple of tornado warnings an hour or so ago, but were a little west and north of us. Have heard a few trees pop already and something bounced off the skylight in dining room, but so far still dry, have power, cable and internet (knocking on wood). :cool:

Thanks for keeping an eye on us over this way. The storms come in spurts. Our area was without a major hurricane from Hurricane Audrey in 1957 until Rita in 2005. Including Rita, we have had three majors in 15 years in SW Louisiana/SE Texas border (with a few smaller ones). Usually, it is just hot and humid here with a mild winter. Still have a month left to hurricane season this year. Hopefully, it will be quiet the rest of this year.

hey y’all just checking in. Got home a little bit ago from work. Did almost 10 hours moving stuff and setting up a new shop. My boss is taking care of me and saying that even tho I’m his newest that I bust my butt more then anyone else. No school tomorrow so I’m going to sleep.

Fine here. The storm went in on the opposite side of the state from us. We only had a little light rain and wind that was from the cold front coming through this afternoon. Apparently it was a weird storm though. They just said on our news that it went through New Orleans in about 45 minutes, so it must have been moving really fast. @Scratch08 was on the east side of the storm (in Gulf Shores, AL), which is usually the worst side of a hurricane. Hopefully, they did ok over there.
