The fact that there are a ton of test kits that rarely agree with each other is a problem. Accuracy is pretty awful, even between reagent batches. Automated testing may also be impacted by this (don't know I haven't tried those systems yet). It irks me to spend SO much time testing water and only be able to trust the data so much.
I think wavemakers still have a place. rock that is pre-fab and fits together to make structures without glue/rods.
Someone mentioned it above, but having individual transformers for EVERY DC component stinks, makes heat, takes up room. I envision a box that has one input and many (controllable?) outputs that can be configured at 12V, 24V, 36V and so on so that we can ditch the individual transformers.
