The one fish you regret getting

For me- I will take 6 powder Blue tangs over this Jerk- Dussomieri tang. I swear its worse than a sohal tang and antagonizes EVERY large tang in my tank and refuses to let anyone get food. I am very close to removing it and when I do- It will NOT get a chance to return to tank. Ive had Dussomieri before and Nothing lie this one ! For years - having multiple tangs has been a peaceful venture and as this has gotten large - it thinks it can do what it wants.

What is the fish you regret getting?

Perhaps , it will give others insights as to fish to be cautious getting

Lunar wrasse. It was given to me from a fellow hobbyist and it is by far the most aggressive fish I’ve ever owned. It is currently the only fish in the tank because any fish I try to add it kills and eats.

I don’t know if most lunar wrasses are sand sleepers, but mine doesn’t. He has one small crevice in the rockwork that he squeezes into to sleep.
He is definitely a killer though.

For me, Starry Blenny - but I love them. This guy only didn't work out as there was also a Lawnmower in the same 4' tank. Spent a few days catching the Starry but eventually got him out and safely re-homed - those 2 did not play nice :/

Lyretail Hawkfish. He HATES my Attenuatus Flasher Wrasse and so I hate him.

And of course, my pride and joy wrasse the Diamond Tail Flasher (Atty). This guy gets thrown into hiding by the b****** fish above.

Beautiful fish, super fat during QT...

Dead in a week in the display... The fish can not handle ANY fish that has any sort of aggression. Let alone a tank full of Tangs, 2 full sized angles and a pair of triggers :(

Agree. Bought one that was an inch long and as it grew became total nightmare. Might be one of the worst saltwaterfish available and that includes clown triggers.
Mine killed my 6" emporer angel, tore my anenome apart, knocked over my huge rocks in his endless search food. Extremely hard to catch too. Too smart for fish traps. Part of the problem is how fast they swim. If they pick on other fish like puffers triggers and angels they have no shot because of the speed they attack with. And love to remove eyeballs . Half my fish were missing eyes.

Noooo I love mine he’s such a Good citizen I thought for sure he would turn into a dick but he’s been so good now my tiny huma triggers more of a bully and even tries to bite me when I’m cleaning and he’s only the size of a quarter lol

Orchid dotty back or at least thats what it was sold as. I know all fish can have different personalities and they dont read the same info we do. This guy was mean attacked any other fish I put in the tank, attacked me any time I was in the tank. It pulled hermit crabs out of their shells and would eat part of them.
