Wow!

Those numbers are on a 24" cube for the K7?! I can't wait until mine comes!

I am thoroughly impressed.

BTW, I am not surprised the bracket fits. The lights look the same to me from the back and they have the same (basically) LEDs. I would not be a bit shocked if they had similar PAR numbers but better color blending from K7 from the smaller arrays.

Yeah I can’t remember how many it can do but it was a lot. Like 12 or some such I think. Or maybe it was 16.
Yea I think he said 16 or 18 but definitely will operate more than 6. Really easy to use and seem like the lights produce a really good shimmer like the Kessil.

We will see how the numbers compare to the AI 26hd tomorrow. I am real curious about this.
The Noopsyche light seems a little less bulky to the Hydra but those holes for mounting the bracket were dead on.

Following! I use vipraspectra lights
Me too I'm just over 2 years with one now. Just no idea on par numbers on these lights. I have grown the digitata from 1 inch frags. The tank is sumpless and run on NSW.
I have had no trouble with the light in the 2 and a bit years of using it apart from having to clean dust out. But that's the same with expensive lighting.

I was looking at the PAR numbers Danna Riddle came up with in his Noopsyche light study and it seems mine are right inline with what he presented with an Apogee 510 meter. So its is looking like my Seneye is not off and producing accurate readings.

I have a question for everyone, some of the lights many of us have seen reviews on but some of the really oddball lights, like the Lumini,Aquarium Systems Solutions, and a couple more have very little information.
I believe these lights need a full proper review before the main study happens as to give a good baseline of what we are working with.
Do you want me to post each lights pre-review study of those lights here or make a new topic for each light? Remember this is to go before the real study begins.
Please give me some input as to what you want.

Thanks,
Matt
I agree you should do a pre-review of what comes with the light and any issues like the WiFi controller that didn't work etc.

It would also be interesting to see how much power each fixture draws from the wall. It's too bad more lights don't have a spectrum most reefers want to run with all channels at 100%, it's one thing I like about BRS videos is they try and equalize the spectrums to what people will run.

The problem I had with that is the only 2 lights that I was able to control the spectrum on were the Noopsyche and Hydra26. I do not have the spectral controller for the 360x, so it would have been unfair to test the units with spectrum control with those that did not.

I have arrived at the shop and will start on getting measurements on the Hydra 26 so we can compare them to the Noopsyche and Kessil. I am real curious how this light will match up to the K7 as they are similar in size.
The Kessil is just different in what is does and how it does it, so direct par comparison to other lights doesn't seem to be the best method of testing. I am thinking of using it in an actual coal growth/color study to get some real world data.
Enough rambling i'll hopefully get 2 lights done today if I work hard.

Nevertheless, the Noopsyche numbers were still impressive!
