Hi all,

So i had a 110g SPS reef which I gave up after a recent move. One of the biggest reasons I gave it up was due to time limitations. Well, I'm hoping with an AIO from either JBJ or IM and applying some of the methods from BRS' ULM series I can make a simple softy or anemone dominated tank.

Lights I'm leaning towards Kessil 350WE or A360. Other contenders are AI Prime HD or a Radion. Thoughts?

For a skimmer, I'm looking at the Tunze DOC 9014 assuming it'll fit. Also considering an Icecap model. Open to thoughts.

For ATO, I'm looking at either the Tunze or JBJ nano ATO with a 5 gallon Trigger ATO container.

For controller, nothing. I'm going to use either the Inkbird WiFi heater controller or the JBJ heater controller. I will probably just buy a smart power strip for the rest. Feedback on either is appropriated.

Additional water movement, either MP10 or AI Nero. From a maintenance standpoint seems like the MP is the better option. Let me know what everyone thinks.

I'm also considering using black sand, any recommendations? Leaning towards CaribSea right now.

For livestock, mostly going to be clowns. I'd love a mandarin dragnet or blotched anthias both Biota but if I'm anemone heavy may not be a great idea. Would really appreciate thoughts for an algae eater.

I think I got the bulk of these. Thanks for taking a minute to check this out.

peppermint/cleaner shrimp, snails, hermit crabs, urchins are all good for cleaning crew. Diamond Gobies, fighter conchs, nassarius snails or sand sifting stars are good for keeping your sand clean.

Any recommendations for aquascape? Looking for something that's already assembled maybe vs making my own.

so pretty sure I am going with the DOC 9012 from Tunze. Very much considering Tunze for everything in this one..

I'm trying to decide between 1 or 2 of the Nano Stream. Looking at the 6040 DC version.

LFS was having a sale so I couldn't resist. Hope it fits once I actually get a tank...

So im very torn. I think I want an anemone dominated tank but I keep seeing these softy tanks that are gorgeous. I can't decide and I'm not sure how well the two parties get along.

I like the 16hds. I run 2 in my 20g nano cube but its 95% acro and bare botton. No skimmer. Jebao ow-25 for flow. Cant go wrong with Tunze as im a Tunze guy from way back. I prefer the Jebao controller over the Tunze though.
Tunze nano ato out of a 5g bucket.

Progress!

I made a light cover for my Kessil 360we because the light spill was awesome. Not sure if it creates a big hot spot or not though.

You can see the light cone. It has concentrated the light for sure.

A person can dream though right ?!
Of course I do all the time, lol. It does look good though. A par meter is the only way to tell.
If the shade was 1-2" shorter it may stretch that cone a little and keep all the light in the tank.

Probably right, I may just reprint it with the lower height
