I just found this thread! How awesome! I’ve been certified since I was 15, got my NAUI advanced cert shortly after at 18. I also have Nitrox, deep dives, wrecks, rescue NAUI Certs.
The dives I’ve done so far are. (X of dives)
Catalina, CA(16)
St. Thomas (3)
Grand Bahama Island & small islands (5)
Lake Erie,PA (2)
Susquehanna River, PA (2)
Hawaii (5)
Maui (8)
Tahiti (4)
St. Lucia (18)
Outer Banks, NC wrecks (2)

They were all amazing in their own way, well.. St. Lucia had a crazy amount of jelly’s that time of year.. but it was fun! Tahiti was the coolest being a reefer, seeing crazy acro colonies and a lot of stuff we see in our tanks!
Heading back to Maui next month for some more dives!

heading to ocho rios to get my open water dives in next week!

Congrats on your open water cert...gotta check out Devil's Reef. I'm stoked for you.

You can eat some of the best jerk chicken you've had there too.

nice thread! lets keep it going. as far an the Caribbean I have dove Belize -out in glovers atol amazing, Cozumel pretty darn good and that is it there most of my dives have been in S.E.A

I have always wanted to dive the kelp forests. I am sure I will at some point.

my avatar is off the coast of Ko phi phi Thailand. if you all want i can post some dive pics from that side of the world.

Hawaii I great as well. lived on Maui for a bit. shore diving is the way to go there IMHO if you can bring your gear rent some tanks and there you go. most dives off shore are beautiful and shallow 20-30feet so you get a nice long time time 70-90min. great for dives who like to take it slow and find all the little things.

Nice to see the corals coming back after the hurricane. This is a maricultured stag placed in the last few months.

Here's a much larger colony

I'm happy to see the reefs rebounding in st croix. I'm from st Thomas and have been amazed at how fast the fish populations rebounded as well as the reefs. After what we went through it shows how resilient nature can be!

Yes it's quite amazing how nature works. Our earth has had many mass extinction level events, and to see these species not just survive but thrive I have no doubt they will eventually make it through these bleaching global climate change events. We may not see it in our lifetime but they will survive.

I've been a diver since 1990 and it would take too much typing to list the places I've dove. One place I haven't ventured to yet which I would love to is the Red Sea. I'm a lousy photographer, but here's a few of my better pics over the years:
