Well, I lost my Hawaiian flame . Was just transitioning to male. Went away for the weekend and he was gone when I got back. Thought he was in the overflow with my lineatus but no dice. Definitely was my favorite fish.

Such a shame that he went missing, I’ve seen one male in person and I can really see how it was your favourite fish, it’s strange how some fish just vanish as if they didn’t die

Now the white lights are on, here’s some better images of my wrasse, I think most of them are male except the iridis and Jade

so the image below isn’t mine however, the wrasse on top is what a male C. lunatus will look like I’m pretty sure, and if I’m correct the wrasse below looks to be a male pintail

Np! As long as you know it’s a male Cirrhilabrus then it will most likely be a C. lunatus, I can’t think of any wrasse from that genus that look similar to C. lunatus so they are most likely correct with the ID

I got a better picture of the naoko finally, and it actually caught the electric blue on the tail
Hes definitely one of the most skittish and camera shy wrasses out of all 7 I own (hopefully that number rises to 9 or 10)
Quick question, does the mirror trick show how aggressive a wrasse would be to another wrasse or just it’s own male sp?

They’re ever so pretty! My LFS had a rhomboid in a few months ago, it just wasn’t at its finest stage although it did have a lot of gold and purple on its body but hey, I now have a few good wrasse such as the radiant and naoko, I’m planning on adding an anampses neoguinaicus and maybe a macrohparyngodon ornatus, It’s a shame the Scott’s I have is limiting off a lot of my favourite anampses and macropharyngodon wrasses

You guys have such amazing collections and it’s making mine look basic, I regret the Scott’s for sure however I doubt I’d return him because he has a nice red/orange anal fin and a bit of red in his dorsal fun along with striking patterns that really show in blue light

Yeah, then it isn’t a lunatus and they got the id wrong but it’s still a magnificent fish! Instead they gave you what SaltyT already said and they gave you C. johnsoni, I mean it’s still a rare wrasse I’m pretty sure

I have a feeling it’s either a very washed out lunatus or a jordani and my gut is saying the jordani from how they said it looks just like your jordani SaltyT
