Well, I swung by one of my LFS to grab some ghost shrimp for my seahorses (usually get them online, but it was too cold to ship this week) and found some gorgeous fish I had to bring home. A nice bit of retail therapy after a bad day at work. They've been at the shop for a week, look great, nice and fat, no damage to them at all that I can see, and I watched all 3 of them eat frozen mysis.

No good pics, since they all buried in the sand pretty much immediately.

Well, they're already out and about and eating! After only 30 minutes in the tank. Pardon the dirty glass and cloudy water, did a water change right before adding them.

Thanks! I'm excited to see how they do with the other wrasses. Currently I think I'm going to keep them in here until the 100 gallon is running, then I'll add them at the same time as the wrasses currently in the 75 gallon. That will bring the total wrasse list for that tank up to:
1 Cirrhilabrus isosceles (Pintail Fairy)
1 Cirrhilabrus laboutei (Labout's Fairy)
1 Cirrhilabrus chaliasi (Pink Headed Fairy)
1 Cirrhilabrus brunneus (Brunneus Fairy)
1 Halichoeres iridis (Radiant)
1 Halichoeres timorensis (Timor)
1 Macropharyngodon negrosensis (Black Leopard)
2 Pseudojuloides cerasinus (Splendid Pencil)
1 Wetmorella nigropinnata (Yellow Banded Possum)

And I still definitely will add a rhomboid fairy (C. rhomboidalis) and a royal pencil (Pseudojuloides severnsi), maybe another type of leopard (M. bipartitus/marisrubri)?, a yellow coris (H. chrysus), a bluestreak cleaner (L. dimidiatus) and a Christmas wrasse (H. biocellatus). We'll see how full the tank looks, though I always seem to find room to add 1 more.

My Pseudojuloides couldn’t compete with my Halichoeres and Macropharyngodon. My mistake was adding my pencil to a group of mature adults. It looks like you’ll have better luck than I did.

Wonder how long left my Chloropterus has… I know my Fairies don’t have too long left unfortunately (They’re all around 3 years with me currently) and I brought all of them as males already so 4-5 years is what I expected from them.

Shy, but no issues with any other wrasses. The spawning pair of blue devil damsels run this tank. Nobody fights or the male divebombs them to assert dominance. 4-6 meals throughout the day also helps cut any aggression.

I also think having a ton of fish in here really helps spread out the aggression so nobody gets overly picked on. I stock all my tanks VERY heavily, but have enough tanks running to easily move fish around if I need to do so. This 75 gallon (48"x18" footprint) tank currently has 38 fish in it. I'm upgrading it to a 100 gallon (60"x18" footprint) and will be adding a few more wrasses (the black leopard and the splendid pencil pair in quarantine and a few others still) within the next couple months.

I've kept severnsi and cerasinus with similar stocking in the past. No issues.

Severnsi is generally a more boisterous pencil but I would still stay cautious with the Splendens as they can be shyer and less ambitious.
