The Wrasse Lover's Thread!

That jade looks so good
I’ve started an entire thread where I’ll try and get a photo of him every week or so just to see how he looks through the transition phase and during his time with me :)

So hard to snap shots of these little dudes....Leopard pair are 5 years old now!

Here's mine minus the Melanarus who is in the spare tank and also why the leopard has a little less tail than it should. Have to figure out what to do with it now. Only shows aggression to other wrasses it seems. Otherwise things are going great. Cleaner won't let me take a good photo so a video has to suffice.

Seeing all these pics, and seeing as I'm home with the flu and laying on an air mattress in my living room(Trying not to go to bed so I don't make my wife, who is immuno compromised(lupus) sick), might have to try and grab a few pics.

I can see them swimming all over the place all day, make me happy! My moyers has actyually taken over as second tank boss. Went from being shy and hidden, to chasing everything but the yellow corris. Even the great bully(melagris leopard) runs from her now even though the melagris is twice her size.

Simple things like this make me smile, and the entire reason I'm still in the hobby some 40 years later.

My sand sleepers and my naokoae just because he really wanted to be in a photo. Besides, I got a nice photo of his vibrant colours so why not.

I just realized, I suck at taking pictures. LOL
Your black leopard looks like it's transitioning. How long have you had it?

Snapped a couple pics in the FOWLR today

Cheilinus lunulatus, the broomtail wrasse. Awesome fish and so far (knock on wood) a gentle giant. Doesn't care about any other fish, but will destroy any invert you try to add. Watched him grab and smash (actually broke the shell) on a jumbo mexican turbo I tried to add. Swallowed the whole body in 1 piece, looked like he swallowed a marble for 2 days.

And Pseudocoris yamashiroi, the japanese torpedo wrasse. This fish is super active, always zooming back and forth and always looking to eat. I feed the tank 4-5x daily usually. She loves mysis, clam, and prime reef flakes, but not a fan of NLS pellets. She starts to look thin if you feed less than 3x daily, so if you do decide to keep one, make sure you can feed plenty of food throughout the day. Extremely had to get a pic since she literally never stops moving, unless she's buried in the sand bed.

Totally! They’re worth every penny and when they show off their colours during flashing it’s even more beautiful. I just wish mine didn’t do it when my phone (even with a filter) had to fight off a ton of blue from the lighting and try not fighting off the blues in this variant.

I can't Think, When you added you're 3 pink streaked where there any issues? was there a reason for 3? I lost mine the other morning and was looking to replace it , I am thinking of possibly adding 2?
