Lol I think Aaron wants me to do the work….which is fine by me……since after all I am the one who really loves the Naokos enough to do work :squinting-face-with-tongue:
Honestly, finding female Naokoae is near impossible. The Rubriventralis complex has females that are incredibly hard to ID from eachother, the other thing is that the females of Naokoae haven’t been photographed often (if at all).
I believe this is a Naokoae however as I said, I find this complex hard to tell females appart.

So far, I'm feeling the Scott's Fairy.
Also works b/c Boston Scott is a great running back!
Jason Kelce is the Captain/Center and my all time fave, but I already have a chicken named Kelce.
I do like the Melanurus. I did make the mistake of adding one, alone, a couple weeks ago. It didn't make it through the night though. I think Goldfinger may have tormented it to death and I found it eaten by my gluttonous BTAs. Would it be too late in the game to add a single wrasse? Would I end up with the same outcome, with all the new additions?

/edit. Not sure this post/quote got messed by me. So anyway I'll add: get the femininus. You'll enjoy the blue and yellow before the green comes in.

I thought that was solarensis? Are they different fish?
The three species that were labelled as Solorensis have now been separated into;
C. solorensis
C. chalasai
C. aquamarinus

The Aquamarinus is what you have :)

So, here are my favorites.

Halichoeres biocellatus - LFS had a red-lined wrasse last week when I was there, was very small and very red still.
Halichoeres argus - some of these are really pretty.
halichoeres vrolikii - I really love this one! I've always been a fan of pinstripes

I did post a photo of a very mature male leopard they had, was stunning. Not something I could get that mature though.
Any of those should work, I’m a huge supporter with Scottorum and Melanomarginatus (I’d love another marginatus or a Cook Island or Aussie variant of Scottorum) but as said above they can be temperamental.

Here’s the list for you!
Halichoeres chloropterus (Duh! I own one, couldn’t forget this beauty)*
Anampses cuvier (As a male, they’re blue/green)
Anampses geographicus (Females are a darker green)
Anampses femininus (Males are greenish from what I remember)
Cheilinus undulatus (I said, no green left behind and I mean it)*
Cheilinus lunulatus (Males have a green/blue colouring)*
Cirrhilabrus punctatus
Cirrhilabrus pylei (Vanuatu variants can be slightly green tinted)
Cirrhilabrus scottorum (One of the most well known green coloured wrasses)*
Cirrhilabrus melanomarginatus (often confused with scottorum)*
Coris cuvieri (Again, it’s a blue/green tint as males but juveniles are a dirty green)*
Coris formosa (IP have a dirty green but males are blue/green)*
Coris gaimard (green base)*
Gomphosus varius (Males are green)*
Gomphosus caeruleus (again, males are green)*
Halichoeres biocellatus (Males are green)
Halichoeres argus (spotted green)
Halichoeres melanurus (another obvious green one)
Halichoeres chlorocephalus (green head)*
Halichoeres leucurus (mostly green with yellow tints)
Halichoeres marginatus (green striped)
Halichoeres vroliki (similar to the Melanurus)
Halichoeres richmondi (similar to the marginatus)
Halichoeres rubricephalus (green with red head)
Halichoeres zeylonicus (very green)*
Macrophayrngodon marisrubri (males are green)
Macropharyngodon bipartitus (males are also green with more pale areas)
Macropharyngodon ornatissimus (These are mainly green throughout their whole life)
Macropharyngodon meleagris (males are greenish)
Pseudojuloides cerasinus (males are green)
Pseudojuloides erythops (males are green)
Xenojulis margaritaceus (they have a green tint as juveniles and then are very green as males)

I’m cutting the list there as it’ll be incredibly long by the time I’ve gone through every genus haha. Some of these are risky in reefs or with other wrasses (I have labelled them with a *).

I’m aware they’re not all in italics and the reason why is… I’m lazy haha.

Very good list, but how dare you leave out Pseudocoris!:

Pseudocoris occidentalis (males are green)
Pseudocoris heteroptera (males are green)

Both are stunning!

I didn’t mention them as they’re rather unknown to the hobby over here so I assumed it was the same for the entirety of the Western side.

Beautiful! Are those just in straight observation or are you flogging those with copper? I see the tang in there so maybe the latter? Such a beautiful shade on both
I put them together so all are in copper. Was in middle of prazi. In person the body of the earmuf flops under lights from blue to pink and has iridescent blue along his body. Most impressive fish. It’s under white light so it helps color

I guess all the S. solorenisis we ID in the reef keeping community is now renamed as S. aquamarinus. Mine is a very beautiful and docile Wrasse. Long live, in comparison to other fairy and Flasher wrasses.
