The Wrasse Lover's Thread!

I don’t see them either. That’s the problem when you don’t let YouTube host it.
The problem with youtube is it ruins the quality.

I think this is the third time I've tried to show off how beautiful my lunatus female is. You can almost get it if you pause around the 4 second mark.

Not sure if this is the best place, but I am wondering what inverts will have the best chance of not being killed/eaten by my melanarus? He leaves my cleaner shrimp alone, but I would like to up my CUC and don’t know where to turn. Thanks
Anything except small crustaceans and worms really. Snails, brittle stars, urchins, even hermit crabs all do fine for me.
The only thing I’ve seen mine munch down on is ghost shrimp.

Sooo cute!!

I think you need to check your fish anatomy:rolling-on-the-floor-laughing:
I’m looking at a snip of its anal fin….what’s behind it Slocke….:rolling-on-the-floor-laughing:

I can see a lot of dorsal, a lot of caudal, and a tiny bit of anal fin. Not to continue the stupidest of debates but I'd argue this photo has less butt then average.

Well, to those who said I should’ve gotten a wrasse over the tilefish, be glad to know my final fish in my nano will likely be a wrasse :)
I have ordered a Wrasse from my further away LFS (which I will likely be working at on weekends in the near future), this wrasse is… Orange.

P.S. I have a plan for when it grows (if I end up getting it) do not panic

A female orange wrasse. That narrows it down.

Salty figured it out rather fast so she definitely knows.

any updates on this girl?
Quite a lazy lifestyle. Wakes up around 9 am. Pigs out on mysis. Then hits the sand around 1-2pm. Going in to work in a bit to check on her and see if the babi is out.

Good luck! Hope she is doing well. Mine comes home Tuesday!

Every leopard I have ever owned, pretty much does the same. Wakes up late, pigs out on food, then dives to the sand when done. After a couple months they get used to my lighting schedule and stay out.

Mine *hopefully* comes home next weekend :)

Your getting a choati? Is this the orange wrasse you just posted about?
Yep!
Fingers crossed my LFS can get hold of one, it was between this and a helfrichi firefish, the orange was just a must.
