searched and got a couple hits in the thread but...

anyone have experience with Anampses Twistii? ive been seeing pics randomly lately for whatever reason and one just popped up for sale near me...very pretty fish imho, that and looking out for a radiant.

i do have a melanurus that been established for awhile.

With a melanurus your luck with a twistii is low, these guys are already difficult enough to establish without a wrasse like Melanurus in the mix. I don’t recommend trying one unless you know 100% that your Mel is peaceful.

What other fish are in the tank?
Generally Rock Sleeing wrasses (Pseudocheilinus is not a sand sleeping genus) will come out with in 2-3 days.

Keep an eye on that Solon wrasse, he may bully the six but the six may kill him…

This one made a 3 month hospital tank QT. Finally In the acclimation box for the display tank. Sold as a female Melanarus Wrasse. I have other Wrasses to just love the coloration on this one and wanted to share Super cool!

Female Melanurus are beautiful, but it’s a shame they never keep that colouring and just go to being a predominantly green wrasse.

ugh thats lame. Mel is my smallest fish/most peaceful honestly, orangeback is the slight chaser...but in fairness the mel likes to sleep in the sand right at the entrance to his cave LOL

Should be fine as long as the tank is adequately sized. The 8 line can get pushy towards other flashers.

Agree. It’s still tiny so I can enjoy for a little while.

A local friend of mine imports various fish from overseas, usually tangs and corals, but can get other stuff as well. We were chatting the other day and I had mentioned a few different wrasses I can never seem to find locally.

Well, he shot me a message tonight and said two different wrasses I mentioned were on his availability list this week and very reasonably priced, so he's ordering them both for me. I'm going to put one in my reef and one in my fowlr, unless y'all think the 2 would live ok together in a 180 gallon (6x2x2). They are:
1 Labroides bicolor (Bicolor Cleaner Wrasse)
1 Labroides pectoralis (Blackspot Cleaner Wrasse)

Question - I have a 270g fowlr. Can I have a red coris, pink face and banana wrasse? I can’t seem to find a compatibility chart

So Coris gaimard, Thalassoma quinquevittatum, and Thalassoma lutescens?

You wouldn’t have a compatibility chart because those are 3 big not reef safe wrasse. I’d guess with a big enough tank it may work but the Thalassoma would need to be added late and your other fish would need to be tough. But I don’t know Thalassoma well enough to say for certain.

Added two new yellow banded possums to my little fish family this past weekend.

The store had 2, and I couldn’t stand to leave one there, so I decided I’d give adding two a shot. Being difficult to accurately sex, I was concerned about aggression and made plans to bring one back to the store had they started to battle.

I am happy to say that, so far, everything is going great. They are not the prettiest fish, but are some of the most intriguing little things. And having only kept/observed individual possums, it has been a lot fun watching them interact with one another.

Here they were getting ready to drip, hiding together while acclimating, and (a bad photo of them) hanging out under a ledge together:

Love possums(wetmorella)! Unfortunately my tank is too busy with to many fast fish to keep them.

They tend to be somewhat cryptic, often hanging very close to the rockwork.

They are one of my favorite fish, along with pink streaks. Their cryptic behavior makes them so much fun to watch when they switch into “stealth” mode.

I’ve had them in large(r) and smaller systems, and like you said, the larger tanks were too busy and they were rarely seen. On the other hand, I cannot imagine ever owning a smaller/nano tank without one!

definitely interested in seeing if this works long term, I think I’m going to end up with 3 new wrasses for my nano;
Choati (It’s been a dream for a while and it will likely happen)
And possibly a pair of tanakai possums

I wouldn’t say it’s long term however 6 months in on my pair and they still are a pair but they dont really hang out together too often - You do spot them together every so often by just seeing two sets of eyes poking out and staring at you.
