Awesome! Those are some very cool wrasse! Especially excited to see the neoguinaicus and the cleaner.

Just hope you have a better experience with Reef Pro than I have. I’ve given them a lot of money without getting anything other than one dead fish. Still jokes on them as I got my yellowtail for 30$ when they’re selling there’s for 320$

My last purchase from them was eh. It was just over a year ago. The rhomboid fairy did well, the fathead anthias just hid and slowly wasted away. The hooded flame fairy came skinny and had flukes but quickly fattened up and prazi cleared it up. The lineatus fairy never ate and died about 1 week later. They did give me a partial refund at least when this all happened.

Hoping this go around is better.

Today wrasses have been eventful in terms of wrasses;
First I got my 2nd dream wrasse (It was up there at a low double digit so I took that chance) and then a Cirrhilabrus brunneus decided to leap out of the tank and smack me in the face…

That really is a steal!
I’m surprised that Yellowtails at Reef Pro are so high priced as everywhere else I’ve seen them for sale in the US they’ve been in the mid-low double digits (30-50 for a seemingly young female).

I wish I could find one at that price. Most of my LFS seem to base their pricing off Liveaquaria and ReeefPro now. Only a couple don't try to triple their money on fish...

Today wrasses have been eventful in terms of wrasses;
First I got my 2nd dream wrasse (It was up there at a low double digit so I took that chance) and then a Cirrhilabrus brunneus decided to leap out of the tank and smack me in the face…

It wants you to take it home! I love my brunneus. Doesn't bother anyone and gets along with everything. Can't wait for it to turn male and fully color up.

It was listed for more but I got 50$ off by trading in a lot of chaeto and caulerpa. But yeah getting any fish for that price is great. Especially an eating tamarin.

P.S. the lights aren’t off however due to the air the bag is pushing my lid up so to prevent escapees, I’ve thrown a towel over the tank.

At the LFS she looked rather brown but look at those scales! My love for this wrasse has finally come back and it gave me the courage to grab this girl :)

I'm so excited for my new guys this week.

The china wrasse (Anampses neoguinaicus) and royal pencil wrasse (Pseudojuloides severnsi) arrive from ReefPro on Wednesday, and a friend of mine ordered me a Gold cleaner wrasse (Labroides pectoralis) and a yellow coris wrasse (Halichoeres chrysus) which I should be picking up later this week as well.

Nope. Just a small juvenile. Not paying that much for a china wrasse.

I regret not grabbing the one at a LFS of mine a year ago when it was only $50. I wasn't home, and the wifey wouldn't buy it as she didn't think it was worth $50.

That's ridiculous. Pintails are usually $80-100 here in Michigan. I paid $60 for mine at my LFS when they got around 30 of them in a shipment direct from overseas.

Unfortunately I couldn’t get a good photo before she legged it into the sand but here you go - I did feed a bit more than usual just to reduce aggression which worked for the most part.

Can’t believe you expected any of us to know what type of wrasse that is! :face-with-tears-of-joy: However you know I love an oddball fish. I know it’s not popular with the earthy colors but it has beautiful fins and a great shape. Hope it shows those bright green and red colors it can show!

They‘re normally $90 to $120 here in Florida. Have seen some for less some for more. Though more than $150 is just ridiculous

Well, turns out she’s risen back up and isn’t hiding as much now.
