Very nice juvenile yellow corris wrasse, which is not actually coris wrasse at all despite the common name. It is actually a halichoeres crysus.

I’ve been wanting one and I finally got it at my LFS. They’ve been getting a bigger variety of fish and inverts. They even have cerith and nassarius snails now. I got it for 30 bucks, no shipping charges. This is the first time they’ve had a coris wrasse that I have ever seen there. Thankfully I got it.

Good to know. Thank you.

Not a great pic, but you can see the striping to his face, and the lack of dots on his fins making him a very mature adult male.
He’s beautiful!

This is my tank boss. Very boisterous, and very in charge of the "gang". I think presently he's my oldest fish. Forget his actual age, but has to be around 10 or so now.

Mine is being soft bullied right now. They are trying to keep him over the open sand. Hopefully that stops soon.

So thought I would go ahead and introduce the Wrasses we currently have.

In my 160g Red Sea (Hanks Tank) we have Hank a Sunset Wrasse (Thalassoma lutescens), and Romance a Harlequin Tuskfish (Choerodon fasciatus), and Panther a Broomtail Wrasse (Cheilinus lunulatus). My wife named it Panther as one of the fish I had when we met was a Panther Grouper she named Panther (I know not very original).

We have 4 White Banded Possum Wrasse
(Wetmorella albofasciata) which are in QT before they move 1 each into my 4 50g frag tanks.
In my RedSea 350 75g we have an Exquisite Fairy Wrasse (Cirrhilabrus exquisitus), a Melanurus Wrasse (Halichoeres melanurus), and a Cuban Hogfish (Bodianus pulchellus)

I had a Quayi Parrotfish (Scarus quoyi) in QT with the Harlequin and Broomtail, but it died for unknown reasons (probably improper nutrition as I found out after I ordered it that they are very difficult to keep).

I also had a terminal Rhomboid Wrasse, Cirrhilabrus rhomboidalis in my 210g RedSea S1000 reef, but of course I left a feeding hatch open 1 (one) yes count it one night and he jumped out onto the screen. That’s when my wife said I couldn’t buy another fish of that price that hides all the time.

Everyone wanted to cooperate tonight so here are pics.

Absolutely love me some possum wrasses! And that cuban hogfish is stunning.

Woke up this morning to my lights being out, it's only 4:30am. Checked the acclimation box, and the sand box is stirred up, and the tamarin is no where to be found. Pretty sure she found the sand last night, and is sleeping nice and tight tucked into the sand.

I’m sure you’re all fed up of this fish but i do have a daily streak building ;)
