My babi will have an earmuff soon.

Earmuff feels all big and bad because girth. We all know he is a teddy bear and pallidus would kick some rump

Yeah, he’s in with some other Fairy aggressive wrasses now;
C. finifenmaa
C. naokoae
H. chloropterus
H. iridis
X. margaritaceus (notoriously the most peaceful of the bunch)

Plus my two Lubbockis were somewhat aggressive (not so much nasty aggression but they definitely didn’t stay 100% peaceful to the others - they kind of balanced eachother out with aggression).

My exquisite is pretty aggressive too. I can’t imagine a Scott

Scotts can be, though I’ve seen they sometimes will come out with a softer side

The slightly larger of the two H. chrsus has started chasing the other. Think I know which one I'm keeping. Anyway, thinking of getting the smaller one into my DT asap.

What is the best/least stressful way to catch these guys.. that doesn't involve purchasing new equipment?

Acclamation box they are comfortable with, glass container, fastest way is net though don’t always recommend with wrasse,

Ranked from most to least aggressive though the last 5 have never really shown any aggression ever.

I just loved how different that older male was. Though honestly the formosa has nothing on the gaimard.

There’s been a few times I’ve seen another for sale and been tempted by it but it’s the fear I may not get a peaceful one again (Albeit those were almost all in with other wrasses).

I drain the tank to only 3-4”. Keeps them from jumping as much and easily quick catch. I like clear containers as the fish don’t seem to notice as much. Nets freak them out. Most of the time I catch by hand

That is a lovely wrasse. The subtle color scheme is something I was hoping to get from that A geographicus.

Well I think that is it for my pintail, I haven’t seen him in about a month. I know they can hide for quite some time but usually he would only hide for a few days at most, hoping I am wrong because he was such a beautiful fish!

Added 3 Fairy Wrasses to my reef this week. I added the Splendid Pintail on Wed then introduced the Golden Rhomboid and Exquisite on Saturday.

Initially the Pintail went after the Rhomboid and i had to put it (victim) in the acclimation box. After a couple hours I tried again and things looked promising till the Rhomboid investigated the Pintails cave. This time I put in a new cave structure and luckily the Rhomboid swam right in and stayed hidden for the rest of the evening.

This morning after everyone was out and about the Rhomboid emerged and we've been drama free the rest of the day.

Absolutely LOVE these guys! Finally activity on the Reef. Amazing

Well I think that is it for my pintail, I haven’t seen him in about a month. I know they can hide for quite some time but usually he would only hide for a few days at most, hoping I am wrong because he was such a beautiful fish!

Didnt leap did it? Had one leap and didnt find it for months. It was under my vertically mounted 57w uv light.

I have a lid and it tried to jump out many times, and I think one time it did some permanent damage. After that one jump it would only come out every few days for a very short period whereas before it was out all the time. It then tried to jump out the last time I saw it and I think that may have been the last straw

A reason they try to jump most off the times is from someone making them uncomfortable

It was my foxface, big fatty scares everyone yet he’s the most peaceful fish
