That guy was a beauty such a shame he jumped. Hopefully they come on the market again in the future.

All because of a stupid gorgonia. Had to clean it and when I reached in the tank to put it back potters freaked and jumped. I didn’t see him at the water surface
I hope they do. Two people told me someone on Facebook had them smaller females forsake but no one gave the info. I past year I see Hawaii fish for sale but not potters.

What type of wrasse is this?

Canary / Yellow / Golden Adult Wrasse - this is the advertised description..

It should be yellow correct?
This is not a Yellow Canary Wrasse (H. chrysus) instead it looks to be a Thalassoma lutescens

I still want one..
I loved that one a lot despite’s it’s very short life in my tank. Though in retrospect the sitting in my hand may have been the first symptoms of UNWD.
I now can’t get a third because of my rubeus but I’m always tempted on a third just scared of failing again.

Jordani is the prettiest of the orange/red wrasses imo. I hope they come back.

Me too. All of my reef tanks have had one... they were always a must have for me.

Jasmine the M. bipartitis (everyone that cleans/feeds my tanks when I'm on travel gets a fish named after them) came out for her 2 min appearance. Then back into the sand. I managed to dump a lot of food into the tank before she went back and hopefully she ate something. I still don't know if she's swimming OK. She swims very slowly and doesn't bolt around like the H. chrysus do. Apologies for the poor quality photos/videos. Took them from behind the desk zoomed in so I wouldn't spook her.

I don’t see anything different in behaviour to what mine shows :)

Me three. Him and Hemi fighting was the greatest show of color. When they locked tail to tail in a circle it was amazing. Sad after when they kept shredding each other.
You lost the chrysus?
Yes she did.
