I need my new camera lens....

Wow. That is shady. I get mine from B&H. Maybe not the cheapest but never had issues like that.

Ive seen a brunneus in person and when i tell you, their fins are just gorgeous.
They illuminate blue when under whites and it’s beautiful. If I could have another fairy I’d grab a brunneus without a doubt.

Well…

Paracheilinus attenuatus if your tank is 4’ or more is the best honestly.
Brunneus follows purely because they have some iridescent fins that no other fish can beat.
Then Kuiteri because it’s female is beautiful but the males I’m not too sure about.
Balteatus closely follows because of that beautiful orange stripe they get on the dark body.
And finally, Lunatus because Balteatus has a nicer colour if I’m honest but my lists can be controversial.
Thanks I know the P Attenuates from pics beautiful fish. if one can find a female. Brunneus there is something about the photos on line that make this an interesting looking fish, same with Balteatus ( female at WWC). Will keep everyone updated. Yes tank is a 4'.

How spoilt are your wrasses?

Here’s my food for my fish, I’m now mixing it all in one batch (well two, one for each feed) and then throwing it into pots…

And here’s the ingredients in each feeding’s mix (above is the first feed).

Where is everyone getting their wrasses from? I'm wanting a melanaruas wrasse and a leopard wrasse this will be in a 260g aquarium.

I like dr. Reef, WWC, and I’ve heard good things about reef exclusive

Does anyone have pictures of a Brunneus Wrasse? I'm looking into them, and I don't know whether the majority of images online are accurate.

Here’s the two most accurate photos but honestly, no photo does this fish justice as the fins are deep blue when caught by the light.

Thanks, I'm hoping to see one in person, dying to actually see one. They look so vibrant even with the dampened colour scheme. I think they look like a goth Exquisite wrasse haha.

Could have been unkown neurological wrasse disease where they can show with loss of function of the tail and progress to paralysis. Broken spine is also posdible especially when you see mouth damage. Try to avoid startling the wrasse with quick movements to the tank or flipping lights on etc. Sorry to hear this.
I believe you are right about it being UNWD.

When I came back with Clove Oil (and another Blue Star) that night she was fine, then back to the curved body the next morning. This cycle has been repeating ever since.

I’m assuming it’s not swim bladder issues, right?

Sounds neurologic. You might want to post it in the fish disease forum and tag @Jay Hemdal

Sad news from the fish sitter. She came over and saw the fighting conch snacking on the baby Leopard. Less than a week with no signs of issues then it’s gone.
Chrysus is still looking good, so not all bad news. Will probably wait a bit then try a leopard from a LFS I trust. Don’t want to ship another for it to pass so quickly.

Sorry for the loss. Did you notice its belly. Was it sunken in? Leopards can have a sunken belly pretty fast after eating.
