The Wrasse Lover's Thread!

So I put together a final list of wrasses in my 210g display. I've looked through the Wrasse (Cirrhilabrus) Compatibility Chart and I believe all are not within the same groups (or considered highly aggressive).

• Flame
• Orange-Back
• Radiant
• Yellow (Canary)

Thoughts? I don't keep feather dusters nor care if the Radiant picks at them.

Should be fine. Use acclimation box if you put them in separately.

My current wrasse stock in my 150 is potters , jeweled, and black leopard. Looking to add a moyers and yellow that are currently in quarantine. I have an acclimation box that I use. Any issues with this group? Thanks

Those species will be fine.

This guy not quite heathy yet from his Petco stay (3+ months). Over all he is doing great. Injuries and fins are healing. Color return to normal. In these pictures he is not flashing just have all his find extended. He was involved in a fighting match with —- a Blue Flasher wrasse—- I could not believe it.

Or should I just go with one?

Will it get along with a Lubbock's fairy wrasse?

While one of the more peaceful Halichoeres species, I would not recommend multiple H. chrysus together in a 75g tank.

H. chrysus and lubbocks wrasse will get along fine.

has anyone kept more than one male of pintail wrasse in the same tank?

i have a 4ft 350l tank and already have a male pintail wrasse but my LFS has a nice pair in and the mail is not as colourful but slightly bigger. I'm guessing that they will all end up male if i was to get the pair but never heard of pintail being aggresive.

Males of the same species don't mix.

I have two male Lubbock in my 320 and they do fine with each other for months now. Both grew well and are fat. They do flare at each other more often than at other wrasse. There are about 20+ wrasses in this tank.
According to evolved, Pintail Fairy are more docile,. I would presume that you can keep more than one if the tank is big enough. The question is how big is big enough? 320 gal or about 1200 litters may be big enough for Lubbock wrasse.
BTW, I DON'T HAVE A PINTAIL. Mine did not live past QT. I am looking for another one.

I don't know what he is but you may want to post this is the wrasse ID thread.

I think it is one of the Lunatus group Fairy wrasse. Likely C. squirei.

What are you using for water movement?

I use 4 MP60 in random reef crest mode. My tank is 320 gal. I only have two tangs in it and need to add more tangs and more snails since the tank is start to have significant algae growth.

Absolutely. Some Cirrhilabrus get too large for a 58, but most will be perfectly fine.
