Does this picture make my wrasse look fat? :p My Ear Muff wrasse (H. melasmapomas)

This is him about 4 years ago.

We've had our orange backed fairy wrasse 3.5mo and he's done well. We recently added a Tomini Tang and China Wrasse. The Orange Back and China have left each other alone as far as I can tell. The China ignores the Orange Back completely. The odd thing I'm curious about is how the Orange Back keeps behaving around the Tomini. He goes over next to the Tomini and has his fins all extending and floats/hovers. He only does this with the tang who is roughly the same size as him. This is some type show boating trying to make himself the boss?

How do you all think a C. rubrimarginatus would do in a peaceful 65g that is 48" x18" x18"?

Other wrasses in with it would be an established M. meleagris a along with potential simultaneous addition of a C. isosceles and a future addition of a C. exquisitus.

A 65 isn't enough room for the species; it's a big'un.

I’ve been reading forum threads referencing how their wrasses are big, fat, and healthy. I’d like to know what others are feeding their wrasses. Currently, I have a Flame Wrasse pair, a Rhomboid Wrasse, and a pair of subadult Diamond tail Fairy Wrasses in my tank for about 2 months. I feed them a mixture of mysis and PE mysis two times a day. But I haven’t noticed any weight gain on any of them. I’d like to make sure that they’re getting all the nutrition they can. Is what I’m feeding them appropriate?

Splendid Pintail Fairy Wrasse (Cirrhilabrus isosceles)
Red Head Solon Fairy Wrasse (Cirrhilabrus solorensis)

Considering:
Diamondtail Flasher (Paracheilinus attenuatus)
Red (Anampses chrysocephalus) / Yellowtail Tamarin (Anampses meleagrides)
Golden Rhomboidalis Wrasse (Cirrhilabrus rhomboidalis)
FLAME FAIRY WRASSE (CIRRHILABRUS JORDANI)

I'd also take suggestions of some alternatives.

I’ve been reading forum threads referencing how their wrasses are big, fat, and healthy. I’d like to know what others are feeding their wrasses. Currently, I have a Flame Wrasse pair, a Rhomboid Wrasse, and a pair of subadult Diamond tail Fairy Wrasses in my tank for about 2 months. I feed them a mixture of mysis and PE mysis two times a day. But I haven’t noticed any weight gain on any of them. I’d like to make sure that they’re getting all the nutrition they can. Is what I’m feeding them appropriate?

How much mysis are you feeding each time? They do look a little skinny to me.

I cut off 1/8 pieces from each (Regular mysis and PE mysis). Is that too little?

Myself I would want to add more to the diet. Can you find lrs or rods. As far as how much to feed I can’t say. I feed a lot.

Ugh, a few things here.
First, your "diamond tails" are actually Cirrhilabrus africanus.
Next, pairs of any species tends to end up being problematic, as they all tend to transition to male.
Lastly, the "pinched" (skinny) look behind the head is concerning - that's usually past the point of returnable to health. Did you QT these fish? If they have never been dewormed, internal parasites may well be at play - common in wrasses.

Is this 1/8 of a cube of mysis? If I'm reading that right, you're feeding 1/4 cube, twice a day for a total of half a cube a day. You're feeding far too little. Try feeding some other prepared foods (pellet, flake), or up your feeding to two cubes a day?

Can anyone confirm that this is a female diamond tail flasher wrasse? It is a female right now, and as that changes, so will it's coloration.

Ugh! After reading all of the forum threads included previously, you might be right about my pair being C. africanus. Is there anything I can do with NYA? Can they be exchanged or refunded at this point for incorrect ID?
