There's something fishy about this build...

This has been my problem. When I ask for the hottest they can make it, I see the look in their eyes. I stop them and say, no really, try to make me cry. So far only one restaurant in Bangkok made me not finish my dish.
Once I was like you but…

To a f****** simpleton yes
That's a very accurate description of all the children that eat butter chicken. They really are simpletons!

(hiding fact that I'd happily demolish a whole salad bowl of murgh makhani)

Closest I’ve come is a hotpot place in Lexington KY of all places. They took it as a challenge and had a supply of Carolina Reapers that the chef loved. Half my bowl was reapers. The people at the next table said it made their eyes burn

I had a guy that used to work with me that would bring me ghost peppers for our company Christmas parties. Most of the Mexicans at the table told me I was crazy for eating them.

This makes me think you’ve never had a true Makhani.

Well what my local Bangladeshi place makes is incredible.
Another place on my professional bucket list (places I want to go visit relevant to my work).

I'll need some directions to this market for next time I'm in Atlanta. Couldn't make the September CDC meeting, but there'll be others!
