I have chemipure in one of the sock holes in the sump chaeto in the fudge with light on an alternate schedule for 5 hrs overnight. Skimmer on 24 7. Feed one cube of homemade frozen a day. 1 small vlamingi clown pair and 3 misc damsels. Misc cuc including snails hermits and 2 conchs.

Calcium is more than fine at 500ppm.

For magnesium, what test kit are you using? Did you ever dose magnesium?

All tests are salifert except phos. Hanna ulr. Don't dose anything except some baking soda in the top off water when I remember. Thinking of getting a biopellet reactor.

Probably 45 ish. I have done 1 water change and it was 2 wks ago and about 30g

It will be awhile. How big is the favia? Upgrading tanks is stressful on us all. Favia should adjust. How are the duncans?

I don’t think your magnesium is as high as you think it is. Magnesium commonly shows false high results if the test isn’t mixed very well during the procedure.

I hope so it's been over 1500 since I set up the tank and I think I have tested 3 tomes. I have to look at my journal. Yes I also use rodi as well.

He is doing great so it's not what I thought. Doesn't smell either. I want to run the tests again before I put him back in. Favia is golf ball size and I am seeing the same issues with it as the ones in the old tank. Like something is eating it on the edges. Will have to break out the flashlight one night this weekend and see.

Excellent. If your phosphates are still not dropping I’d personally suggest changing out to a fresh chemipure. It’s likely already exhausted.

Ok so here are todays parameters. I did add some lanthium chloride for the PO back on wed. 6/1 per my journal notes.
35.2 salinity and 76.7 degrees taken with Hanna salinity probe thingy
Ph 8.2 Salifert
PO .037 so the lanthium has worked at bringing that down Salifert
ni 20-25 the pink is a bit hard to read Salifert
alk. 7.896 per my new Hanna Alk checker i snagged for 20$ this appears slightly lower then the history of 8.2-8.5 with my salifert test. tested with the salifert and its showing 8.4 so consitstant with the previous history.
ca 500 salifert
MG 1500 + 7 drops salifert

So overall it does not look terrible at the moment. I would like to see alk higher and i am assuming that is what is causing the issues with my sps. so i have looked up dosing and have a kamor pump that i may start using to see if that can stabilize / increase the alk. i would be dosing Quantum Aragonite B, I had won a quantum pack on facebook a while back so can try that first. goal would be to get it up to 9 and keep it there.
Another project to add to the list for this weekend.
