What did you end up deciding on? I'm definitely wanting hydros rather than apex and I have no idea where to start. I have been trying to get my research on as much as I can but I've been so busy. Procrastinating. Yep.

I've heard enough bad things about Neptune that I'm glad I got the Hydros.

One thing I see is that my WiFi power strip loses connection 5-10 times a day but it doesn't shut off and it's usually only for a minute or two.

Apex is what you make of it. Since the unholy conglomerate took over their customer service has been abysmal, but I'm still a fan.

Setting up the wave engine was a breeze last night. i was even able to play around with them on the cloud while at work. I have been looking at the various options for the future as well. And have someone that may be sending me a couple of components to go with it. i love the clean look of it, and the ease of use.

and i will add. that once the reviews are in on the Maven, and the kinks worked out, i could see that being an absolute game changer for tanks. auto testing of the big 5 in one unit that can also act as a stand alone controller!!!

There's another product on the market that already does this (without a controller) that's $1600. The Maven is going to be $1200 AND a controller.

I am going to bite the bullet and just pre-order the maven. Yolo. Mike the rep at coralview suggested 2 things for me but only because I have upstairs tank and downstairs sump. I am probably just gonna start with the downstairs option to save a little $ due to the cost to pre-order the maven. That's the Hydros launch. I am going to spend tonight digging in and watching some videos but that seems to make the best sense for monitoring / controlling? everything downstairs. Return Pump, heaters, ph, salinity etc. I can link it up or daisy chain it to something upstairs in the future or to the maven since that will be downstairs as well. But I only have the lights and wavemakers hooked up at the display so that can wait till last.

My biggest hurdle is justifying the cost when my kasa strips do alot for me as is. That's why I'm only doing one for the downstairs right (ph, temp, etc) now and can hook the maven up to that later.
