$40.00 for the ingredients not counting the nori, leftover coral food and spirulina. Not bad for 4 months of food. The mess, priceless. Good thing I don't have a husband around to complain about it.

Husbands are overrated. I don’t know if this is true but I seem to hear a lot of women say it. However, all men know that women lie. Or, at least, it seems this way based on the minimal amount of time men actually spend listening.

I scanned back a on your thread, @Stang67, to see pics of your tank. What a pleasant surprise to see you with a 180. I’m, minimally, 83.8% sure you didn’t have that tank when I went MIA.

I liked the pics of the tank with and without the filter on. The one with the filter is slightly reminiscent of the old days of running MH’s. Good memories for me from those days.

Those were from the light upgrade. Added some t5s to the leds. Think I found why things weren't growing. They have been doing alot better since.

Funny what proper lighting will do for a tank. (Apparently, I still have a hint of smart butt in me.)

I do miss the days of MH lighting. Maybe I’m just nostalgic but I do believe they provided better growth results. Plus, you could get a nice tan with them. (Sidebar: my experience is anecdotal because I’ve not had a reef lit by LED only. I am working towards remedying this soon.)

FW tank is officially shut down. Drained and cleaned it today. Muscle is coming later this evening to help move the stand upstairs.
I leave Friday for Maryland to petsit and I just wanted to get it ready for when I get back. Then its setting it up and ordering the peacock when I get back.

Ohhhh… so close! Java and Bleu. He was a French peacock. Java was not impressed.

Got the tank upstairs and on the stand. Forgot pix in my manic cleaning whirlwind. I am gonna need to paint the back. But I have the filter, heater, ato and light ready. When I get home its water, sand, scape and "cycle". Im pulling rock from the sump and using new so hopefully we are gonna be good to order the mantis 1st week of October. We will see. Off to MD for the week for a break from my world.
