Third time better be the charm

We live in Amish country and found a source for local honey. He was working the hives today when we stopped. I found it interesting that he has head protection with a straw hat like they always wear.

It's honestly a personal preference. Also how well you know your hives. I could likely do the same with mine most of the time. But I am semi reactive to the stings so I just wear my hazmat suit and gloves. That is awesome though that you found a good source.

Heading home today. Seem to have picked up one heck of a head cold somewhere so that has been fun. Can't wait to get home and see my tank, dogs, man and sleep in my own bed. Big plans for the tanks over the next 2 weeks so stay tuned.

Safe travels. Hope the head cold subsides a bit with each passing mile.

Home showered and in bed with the pups. Long list of things to do this week. I have cyano in the 180g likely due to high nutrients and the new t5s. Never had it before so fun times. Tomorrow will be cleaning out sump and siphoning sand.
More then the nyquil is kicking in.

Where is your tale about tracking down the green top glue?
I just ran up to the store 5 mins from my house and grabbed a few. Nothing quest worthy.

That tale will be one for the ages. You just need to lipstick that pig up a bit.

On a midsummers Tuesday afternoon, fraught with the peril of normalcy, you sojourned to the store. It may have only been 5 minutes away, but it felt like a whole lifetime. There was a dog in a yard, was it barking? We may never know, the car window was up. That friendly neighbor that waved, what sorts of plots are running through his head? Are we going to hear about his crazy scheme having been thwarted this evening in the news? Simply because circumstance brought a caring stranger to cross his path at a critical time, and with a friendly wave, rescued him from paths of darkness?

I mean that is without even broaching the topic of vehicular beverages.

Also that tunnel looks legit and i am sure your critters will love it!

Ai scares me so I think it would have gone more like this.....
Even though she already had enough the urge was real. The inner struggle she was having with herself on the need for more vs the unknown weighed heavy on her mind. Ultimately after deep thought and consideration the benefit outweighed the cost. Who doesn't want more? More of the elusive and sought after Green tip.
She donned the garb of the locals so as to not draw attention to herself, she was not looking for any unexpected trouble on this trip, she summoned Manual, her steed and embarked.
No provisions were needed on this outing. No,this was to be a stealthy and effective mission. She arrived at the Green Tip's lair, the Green Tree. She laughed silently at the irony of it all and went inside.
The buzz of the lighting inside the lair hit her first followed quickly by the smell. Oh that smell, the smell of death surrounds you, she had to be quick.
Weaving quickly past the menagerie of CCP trinkets and baubles she found them, the Green Tips. She grabbed 2, went for the rest but thought better of it. She didnt want to alert anyone to her presence. She quickly paid the shop keeper for her treasures and signed as she walked back out into the bright sunlight.
She made it, she was safe, and no one was the wiser. She and Manual made their way back home, to complete the rest of her grand adventure another day.

Ordered some pods and phyto from @Dinkins Aquatic Gardens to help with the cyano in the 180g. They always have the best stuff at great $$. Gonna tune down the lights a bit and cut back on the photo period. Need to test now that the sump has been cleaned. Then Sunday will be an attempt at a re scape.

Ha! Trusty steed Manual 🤣 That was quite the odyssey!

My distaste for AI also runs deep(except for frameworking computer code, it is awesome for that). I can compose linguistical prose and spin a yarn quite adequately on my own, I always feel AI slop is overly wordy and insufficiently sussinct. One thing i do appreciate though is spell check. I spell like a fourth grader. Although I have been reading the Hobbit with my 7yo daughter, and Tolkien can wax overly verbose with some reliability too.... although as tedious as Tom Clancy, he is not.

Thank you for the indulgence!
