Third time better be the charm

Becky, I designed this to D's specifications but it's basically what you'd need. Yours might be ok smaller.

You've got me all confused which, in and of itself, is not always that hard to do.

You are driving from home to Virginia to catch a flight?

Please tell me you are not going to subject yourself to the likes of @Fish Styx . I mean, there is Johann and the tank and the DD. That makes seeing him almost a wash but, I mean, you were just there like about 1.5 months ago. If this is the plan, you should have let me know sooner as I could have sent you some heavy duty tranquilizers.

We will see. Not sure yet. I have my own tranquilizers and bringing double the amount just in case.

Here we go! The drive to the airport was a bit nerve-wracking but Mike did a great job. Now fingers crossed we aren't delayed. Plane is at the gate and the plows are plowing so im hopeful.

Safe travels, Becky.

Travel safe. We got some of the white powder here but it's still coming down. I imagine probably worse near the lake.
We had excavators out yesterday fixing a broken water line at the road side meter. Glad they did it yesterday. We've been without water for a week.

No water for a week? I imagine that, going by the moniker under your user name, you're now a grumpy and stinky old man!

It is nice to be able to flush a toilet without having to use a bucket and a shower felt good. We sacrificed and spent a little extra time in the hot tub in lieu of no shower lol. I'm just glad it wasn't summertime and hot. My parents are near so I was going over there and filling old salt buckets for toilet flushing. I knew i kept all my salt buckets for a reason. My Gal once asked me once why i kept all those useless buckets. She'll never live that one down. I think i may have reminded her too often because I got an awful lot of dirty looks every time I mentioned it to her 🤣

I don't remember once in the 25 years I've been in the water industry that I've left customers without water for more than 16 hours... And those are very few and far between and super rare emergencies.

Ohio is well "different".

The break was on my side of the meter so my responsibility. TBO I was glad to find someone to come out as quick as they did. I'm also thankful the break was right at the meter and they were able to make a repair vs digging a new line 350' back to the house through 30 years of tree growth.

@tbrown
EDIT: I'm out in the country with what is called rural water. My water company purchases water from some local municipalities then they pump it long distance so those of us many miles away can have city water so to speak. The meters are in a very large pvc tube that is under ground below the frost level. anything outside of that meter housing is the responsibility of the property owner. Quite a bit different than living in town.

The break was here and had nothing to do with the supply line that exits that housing which is the end of the water companies responsibility.
