Honey is bottled. At least most of it. I ran out of jars.

Hope to get them mailed tomorrow but I am having oral surgery so may not be till Wednesday or Thursday. I'll let you know. Still haven't tested crap in tank but it looks better after no lights all weekend. Should be able to do that tomorrow at least. Gonna be a scorcher here the next few days.

Scorcher: not even close to the hellish level of heat in the desert you live in.
One good thing for me. Lake erie. Mother nature's own air conditioner / snow maker. It's much cooler here by the lake then even a few miles inland.
Honey is out in the mail.
Novacane is starting to wear off so its a good thing I got all my errands done early. Dental went well.
Now down to test the tank and figure out the weird funk I have going on in there. It will be the first time using a microscope since high school. This should be fun.

Isn't lake Erie also responsible for those polar blasts y'all get? Sub-Zero temperatures for a week at a time?

That is Not appropriate Lost climate....

Yes sortof. It's responsible for something called lake effect snow. That's when the wind comes in from Canada (eh) and picks up moisture from the lake (unless it's frozen over). Then when that air and moisture hits land again it gets cold and dumps snow on everything in site. Only 4 places in the world this happens. Trade off is the nice(r) weather in summer. We blame Canada for the cold air.

Sometimes I want to blame Canada for the snow but I never makes it this far.

OK so coffee filter test inconclusive for dinos. Here are some pix I managed to take with the cell phone. Not quite sure what if anything I am dealing with. It blows off easily and is only on the rock work up at the highest tiers. It does dissapater when lights are off. 98% are the round ones (2nd pic) but I found a couple weird ones too. Nothing is mobile. It also decreases quite a bit after no light and no feeding for 3 days (fri sat and sunday) Not blacked out just no lights. I run only blues now at 30% during peak 4 hrs with reefbreeders. Going to test parameters now as well.

There are 3 things, dinos, cyano and diatoms. Diatoms. I also notice a huge diatom bloom when transferring to new tanks. Life is settling in. You said your numbers are whack. So, they could be working over time to adjust? I am no master at chemistry. Only what I observe on my own tanks. I never fought the phases. I just did regular maintenance.

I am putting my money on diatoms. Any full tank pics, or portions?

Everything looks good. Once you get your alk where your corals like, I wouldn't argue. Just blast off the rust, slime, whatever is it and siphon.

Kitten mittens tried to fight cyano. I believe it won. Cyano blows off in sheets. I am sure you know that. Diatoms will leave patches of rust behind (can) don't worry about that. Dinos blow right off. They reproduce so quick from what I am told.

If it is only on rock and sand, I wouldn't be so frustrated. If it is attacking coral, I would say its dinos or cyano.

Turned on the whites and the more I looked at it the more it looked like diatoms. I feel silly now. I had them before on an upgrade as well. Just seems a bit late but this is a bigger tank and things take longer so that would make sense. Sending off my icp test today as well.

Hopefully you can relax just a little now. Tank transfer trigger these easy. Life is just adapting to change. Clean up crew should help with this.

So amazing. It's too complicated to explain. You got miracle bees!

There are citric flavors and not too floral. I can't describe the rest. I luff you, Thanks so much!!!!

Hope the tank is well.
