The only diy route I would go is if you were proficient in coding and working with program to point things towards level sensors, etc. etc.
UM thats a negative ghostrider the pattern is full.

If that is the case, then your best option is the Kamoer X2SR, as @New&no clue mentioned. One trick, just make sure that your home wireless has a 2.4 GHz ssid for it to connect to. Some newer home modem/router/access points do not enable 2.4 GHz by default. They only use 5GHz band and that Kamoer will not connect to 5 GHz.

yeah i was just researching a bit more and think this is one thing you dont DIY. if you do you run alot of risks. I would like that extra piece of mind while i am gone knowing that its going to go ok. THANKS for the input!
I would like to do the equivalent of your average 10% a week so that would work out to be say 15-20g. over 7 days 2-3 g per day. Probably have to go towards the low end only because the mixing barrel is only 55g and i will be gone for 2wks at one point. Or the ultimate alternative is change before i leave and change after i come home.

Same, my mixing barrel is only 55 gallons. I recently went on a ten-day trip and did a big water change before I left and when I got back. While I like the backup features of the Kamoer, I was worried about letting it run while I was gone. Although that could be because before that, I was gone for two days, and my tank sump overflowed and flooded my basement.

I am also afraid of flooding the basement. The set up I have is running like a top. I am torn tho. Money only goes so far these days. Cool gadgets or fish?

Yeah all my fun gadgets use the 2.4 platform so we are good there.

I'm sorry I was incredibly rude there. I am sorry to hear about the basement. I remember reading in your build thread you didn't have a drain down there. Did you lose anything? I need to hop over and catch up.

I'm in the same boat. I bought more than I wanted this month. Next month I need to refrain. But, I want a dremel, space invader pectinia, solar flare millipora. I am also currently having fish issues. You'd never believe who.

I’m not feeling like you have the best luck with fish…. Maybe just an eel tank ;)

Day 2 of blitzkrieg against the gha. 3 day project. Split the tank into 3 sections. Pulling the long stuff, followed by scrubbing and siphoning with a toothbrush and then pulling the rock that's not attached and scrubbing it in the bucket with the siphoned and strained water. Ditch the water and replace.
Will do the second dose of prodibio tomorrow. Got the new jebao powerhead installed and yeah makes a huge difference. Ordered another one to put on the other side of the tank and then will move the sicces to the back.
Then I need to order a bigger cuc and get some pods and phyto going. It's getting there.

I don’t know if you’ve ever ordered from Reef Cleaners, he has good and bad reviews, but if you send him a picture of your GHA he can typically tells you what type it is and what specific type of snail/crab/CUC member will help. I’ve been battling GHA for some time and manual removal and a good cuc makes a big difference.

I was inspired to get on the gha after reading your thread. I do like reefcleanera only use them for my critters for sure. I really want to get it under control by end of next month. I don't want to come home from 2wks in indi to a sea of green.

Best of luck with the gha and fight the good fight. I lost patience with brushing and scrubbing mine, that's when I got the peroxide. Hasn't been back since. I am a little worried about the pods it al that would have been collateral damage.
