Third time better be the charm

Got my Icecap gyre 4k and Hydros WeLe. Installed the app. The 2nd gyre is supposed to be delivered this afternoon. Since the jaebo sow 20s are already running left to right and right to left I think maybe installing the wyres on the back? I can put the wyres on the sides and shift the jaebos to the back. Any suggestions/ recomendations?
I have mine on the back wall and like them there, but they occasionally draw in and create microbubbles.

My Secret Cronie dropped off a package today. Thank you so much @Mhamilton0911 for such cool, beautiful and thoughtful gifts.

That bee painting is awesome!!

Congrats that’s awesome. No better feeling then finally setting up your new tank, after everything has been moved in and getting to stand back and enjoy it. Nice!
Thanks so much!

Going to try and scrape off some gha from the back wall tomorrow and get them set up. The only concern I have are the sticks at the top of the rocks getting pelted with direct flow. I am going to do a bit of research today while "working" to get aan idea of the settings and the app.

Can you set them to random?

possibly? not sure atm. i have the app but nothing linked up, yet.

Just my $0.02, but you may be better off putting the Icecaps on the L/R side and using the jebaos as your supplemental flow in the back. I believe hydros gives you a little more customization than the jebao controllers do.

I don't know what the hydros does yet. The Jebaos are very limited and confusing. Hence the reason for the upgrade. I also have 2 sicce sdc wavemakers that I can swap out the jebaos for also. Just want to see what the best combo is for the tank.

Ah that's fair enough. I upgraded my Jebaos to their MCP gyres recently which gives a little more controllability through the app, the other ones were a bit of a pain to tinker with.

I was hoping to go with Icecaps + hydros, but I just couldn't bring myself to make the investment with all of the money I've been throwing at the new tank recently... likely will revisit the subject once they release the Maven auto tester though.

Well that was the easiest piece of tech I have ever worked with. Set them up on either side of the overflow box on the rear wall. I have them set for gyre mode SPS. Max 100%. There is a weird hum coming from them but not something annoyingly loud. May turn them down to see if it stops. Definitely kicking up some detritus as well. If all their gear is this user friendly I'm 100% sold for sure.

Try setting them at 90%. Pro tip: I never run lights or pumps at 100%, as it burns them out faster.

Done. Dialed it down and that fixed the hum. Now I have to figure out the turn off for feeding schedule.

I have 2 jebao scp 150s on a shelf I may try mounting in the WB like you mounted your gyres. I have 4 mp40s 2 on each end and still struggling to get flow right.
I have a jebao sow 20 on the upper front left and another on the lower right back. Side glass. The added the gyres. Not sure what the right flow is to be honest. We will see how things like the new flow.

I'm struggling to get detritus to blow to locations so I can vacuum it out. My bubble and fox coral don't like too much flow and are on the bottom so I can't put powerheads too low. I may have to move some stuff around. I thought I'd have it dialed in by now lol.

On this screen I just tap each pump and select off when doing maintenance. It's easier than setting a feeding mode imo but to each their own.
