Third time better be the charm

Only things not hooked up yet are the heater with inkbird and the sicce sdc return. I think I am going to keep the return hooked up to Alexa. I like the voice control ability. Esp since I tend to miss place my phone. If I need to shut of the return I just tell her to do it. The heater I will set up this afternoon. Then it's some cord management and we are done. Following @JoJosReef to see how he hooks up the new Minnow to feed his tank and then that will be my next step. Or maybe the Sole or regular single doser not sure which will be the best option.

Lunar eclipse last night and no sleep after. Weather was phenomenal today so worked outside for a few hours after work. Then hit up a fish fry for dinner. Mire outside deck time with a cup of tea and now enjoying the view of the tank. Good day today.

My favorite LFS has moved. I find myself unsupervised yet again on Saturday. Do I go to check out the new digs and get some cuc, or stay home resist the temptation of a quoy Parrot and order the cuc online? They also have freshwater so there is additional temptation possible.

after trying bumblebee snails from several places around me and having few survive, I've resorted to a Reef Cleaners order. Arriving Tuesday I think.

I have no idea what I'm doing.

I got my bumble bee snails from Tidal garden. At the time they had them in stock and they were the cheapest. Was able to pick up. Now I'm looking at jest some generic stuff for the 180g. Ordered some PNS to hopefully battle down my nitrates and phosphates. Next option is a bigger skimmer. $$$$

Can’t go wrong with an Octopus skimmer. Love mine. Had it on the 180 and still kicking butt on the 270.

Check out Dalua. I have the GW-17 on my 180 and absolutely love it. Their Great white pump line is impressive- I currently run their largest as my return. They are work horses.

Edit: I'm also happy to walk you through the modifications that I made. @Projects with Sam helped design, and subsequently create, a carbon filter skimmer cap for filtering stink and, more importantly, stray ozone. He also made a recirculating version of it, too.

Which model do you have? There is a guy selling a Bubble Magus Curve 9+ Elite that would likely work and the $$ is right.

I have an Octopus Elite 200 INT with DC pump. I bought in 2014 and replaced only the controller one time. Otherwise no problems. It’s a beast, yes it’s more expensive but to me well worth it. (Back then I bought it new for $577)
