Checked my log book. 57 degrees at the quarry is the coldest so far that's at the end of July. Once I get the dry suit cert I may be going out there more often this upcoming fall.
In a 3mil no hood with gloves. Granted they weren't long dives 34min max. But yes chilly. It's really cool when you hit the thermocline. You can actually see it in the water. One of the neatest things not critter related I get to see diving.

I use Oceamo as well, they are surprisingly fast with results compared to other ICP companies I've used. Andre sends batches twice a week using overnight air, and once the lab recieves the tests the results are usually only a couple of days later.

Now if you know me I am not one to complain or whine. You also know that I have not been in the hobby long. However, I do have a voice and I have a question. Let me use my voice first then I will ask the question.
I received an order today from a recent Live Sale vendor who will remain unnamed. There were a few things that really got me thinking.....
Who puts a heat pack in a shipment in late June? this vendor did.
Who sells frags that are smaller then your thumbnail? this vendor did.
Who ordered a Mystery Box for $125.00 and got burned. this idiot did.
I just can't believe we as hobbyist's have allowed it to get this bad. Did we ? Or did I just assume and get burned?
I had previously gotten a mystery box from this same vendor a few years ago and was really pleased with what I received. I really feel bad for all the new people getting into the hobby now. I dont know how they are affording it. I know I know the cost of everything, blah,blah. So I guess I have reached the age of "I remember when bread was a nickle"
If I look at the other side of the coin, things like this make me appreciate so much more the awesome vendors that are out there. I will say everything arrived alive and I can put them all in the office tank so its not a complete waste of money by any means.
I have another order coming tomorrow from another vendor that I absolutely adore, and no Mysterys in that one.

I will only get mystery packs from gator, because I've ordered enough from Jeremy that he actually sends me things that make sense for me. Not just like... *here's the absolutely most common scrap frags that I need to get rid of* that I feel some vendors do...
I struggle with live sales to be honest. Also, lately I feel like the more popular vendors have been drifting downhill

I seen venders pass out lots of monti plates as freebies and "mystery" corals. There's only a couple of live sales I even peak at now. SBB and ahh... I forgot the others.... Eventually I'll use my giftcards.
Should give us a small hint at who the vendor is... They are not doing this to 1 person, they are going to do it to multiples.
