You can see my post on my Nano thread but my recommendation: avoid Creality CR PETG. The other levels might be better but this stuff is dirty dirty dirty and does not print consistently and plugs up the nozzle quickly. Gross and doesn't print well.

I have grown tired of my fw tank. Also my wannabe mantis has lasted far longer then I anticipated in the office tank. So we're making some changes. I am moving the fw 40g breeder into the living room and switching it over to a peacock tank. Planning on splurging on some Tampa Bay live rock and sand since I have everything else. May keep some shrimp and guppies from the fw in the little 5g in the office just for grins. We will have to see.
Why do I do this to myself?

Edit : Shipping from TBA is on hold until September. Gonna just pull some rock from the sump and a big chunk from the 180. Have tons of rubble. Gonna need sand though. Off to shop.

So in typical me style I kept myself up last night over analyzing this idea. What if I moved the 40g breederbup to the office and moved the cube downstairs? I really don't want clowns in the 180 but I could combine the office and the 180g also. Pop tart v Elvis would be a concern. Since I'm in the office 8hrs a day leaning towards the breeder up here cube downstairs.

Ps I'm breaking down the cube anyway to move it to put the new flooring in. So technically it wouldn't be any more work to move it downstairs. In fact it may be less because its a simple drain, move fill.

Got 2 boxes installed. Doesn't look like much but that closet was a bear. Rock and salt came today.

Still have a little hall, the office, and a spare catch all room to do. I have way too much crap.

I've gotten everything I'm gonna need except the mantis itself. Have some appointments the rest of the week so cube move is set for this weekend. Then next weekend the breeder move and start cycling.

This is the office. It's a bit of a mess with the flooring. Pics are left to right.

Mantis is going in the open corners in the first picture. Cube is moving downstairs and desk is going where Cube is.
Broke up the rock I got and cut the 3" pvc to size.

Tested

Cleaned up and removed the baffles from the acrylic tenecor tank. Going to keep some of the fw shrimp. Maybe a fish or 2. Feed the rest to the 180g when teardown happens.
Added an air pump upstairs and fed the tubing to the skimmer intake. If that doesn't bump the ph may look at running it outside. Winter is coming though and the idea of pumping 30 degree air into the tank just so the heaters can compensate seems silly.
