Did any of the tangs decide they were going to be the boss? Curious on how they all acted when you put them in
My wife's cousin is Brian Michael Heath. Just thought I'd share that tidbit based on your username. 😁

The sailfin tang is definitely the boss of the tank (and also the biggest). Currently, the Powder Blue Tang (PBT) and the sailfin fight in brief increments over who is in charge, but all the tangs were added at separate times. I actually had to remove a Scopas tang and put him in "timeout" in another tank because he was beating up my purple tang. I'm thinking of adding him back now that the purple tang is more established.

Most of the gonis and alvis are looking good after 1 day in the tank.

I was thinking about a purple tang and maybe a white tail or a Kole in my tank that’s coming in this week. What do you think? Or do you think I could have more? I would like to keep them the length of their life and not have to return them.

The "Tang Police" probably hate me! But I’d say go for it if you can get a smaller one relative to your tank size. You could do both as long as they are juveniles; worst-case scenario, you just have to buy a bigger tank down the road!

I’ve had my sailfin for two years now. He was the size of a half-dollar when I got him, and now he’s a total tank. I highly recommend buying your tangs pre-quarantined. If they aren't, make sure you watch the fish at the store for at least 30 minutes. Ensure he isn't flashing, has no visual signs of sickness, and ask the store to feed him to make sure he’s eating well. From there, try to use the same food the store used to help him transition. Just remember that tangs need nori to graze on as well.

Hopefully, that helps!

Some Kole tangs stay on the small side so the 100 should work. Purple tang might get a little large but the two "should" get along if added small and around the same time.
