First of all do it!

Secondly, I don't have a G2 but @Daniel@R2R and I have set up a few of these at various shows and this is a well-built tank and stand. If I remember correctly it does have the armored inside corners (at least on the front).

If your looking for a straight forward setup. Redsea nano is the way. No one complains about their nano tanks. If their price wasn't so ridiculous, id recommend it more. Still the best esthetically pleasing tank on the market.

Have and great! Flexible enough to customize and good running stock setup. I had to add a chiller because it runs warm, but in Florida and keep house at 80. I have done lots with it, even added a connection mangrove lagoon tank.

I'm glad you said this, because looking back I'm pretty sure @HotRocks and I set one up at 2019 Chicago RAP.
I completely forgot about it! Time flies lol

Yes, 2019 seems like yesterday and forever ago. I think the Red Sea G2 version was introduced in 2022. There were many subtle improvements to both the tank and the stand. The G2 is not notably heavier and more robust, including the armored seams that I mentioned before. I would be very comfortable getting or recommending a G2 nano.

I bought my first ever tank in September last year. I went with the Red Sea Max Nano G2 tank.

As a newbie, the 5 year warranty and customer service drew me in. Little more expensive than other brands, but I wanted quality.

I absolutely love mine. I’ve had to contact customer support twice and both times, they have been fantastic. (Once was to discuss a part, of which they just shipped out a replacement which arrived the next day!)

I’m very pleased that I went with Red Sea!

I have the 26g Peninsula, only been up for a month but these "G2.5" that they are selling now have more armored seams than I think the 2022 models did. only thing I don't like about their design is had a bit of a hard time deciding where to put the heater cause they cram so much in the back, but since I hate filter socks with a passion anyway I just put it where they had the filter sock for now lol

I was wondering the same thing looking at the pictures, where I'd put the heater.

How you do it with such small sump? Using current return pump or another new pump connect to the chiller?

Did you ever decide to get one?

I replaced the stock pump with a TMC 2500 dc pump. More powerful to pump water to chiller and back to return. A tiny pump also fits in sump to move water to back tank. It’s a well designed tank…

It's on my list, I got the "ok" but also the "not right now"
I have to wait until we get some other projects around the house done first
