I have mine plugged directly into my energy bar,,Terrance said this is absolutely no good on his last video. Why? and if i buy a cheap(inkbird)thermostat wouldnt that just be a more likely fail point?

if your talking about a heater with no thermostat built in then your relying on the apex temp probe not to fail which imo is waay less likely to fail than the cheap thermostats built into heaters but there is no redundancy, your solely relying on the apex temp probe to control it. If the heater has a thermostat built in then your basically controlling the heater off its thermostat and using the apex temp probe to turn it off if it breaks in the on position.
