The tank is pretty bare, a bare bottom with a Picasso clown and a few frags. I had my LFS hold a long tentacle Goni that was pink and gold, my fav piece, for a week when I had to move my tank, and it was a skeleton when I went to pick it up :(:(

I would recommend to have Astrea (Asterina) Snails. They are great algae eaters but cannot flip back over. I have to constantly flip mine back over but when you get the hang of it, it is fun for some weird reason.;Shifty

Also get some mixed hermits. It is super fun to watch them walk around. I have like 4-5 of them in my Fluval Evo 13.5 and I had like 5 Astrea Snails. Two died and one of the hermits took one of the snails dead shells for a home.

Not so great picture. It’s a stunning piece though.

Following.

I am pretty partial to cerith snails. They do a pretty good job along the sand that is pretty difficult to get with a mag float. I have a few a astreas that are almost 4 years old in my other tank.

Added my big momma jawbreaker, godspawn bounce, and some other goodies. Lights are out but I will snap some more pics tomorrow.

Yeah it looked pretty similar to that! But lighter pink and more golden! So pretty! It was my first try with one so pretty sad! But am trying to save up to pick up a few new pieces for the tank! I was saving up for that piece for a while... I am 14 so can’t work yet, so takes me a while to save up to buy frags! That’s why I like to live vicariously though all of the reefers on here. Also trying to work with other reefers to acquire pieces but it’s hard when u don’t have much to trade. Here’s a pic ( sorry it’s not a great photo)

Oh, That’s a shame. It was beautiful piece. I know how you feel about saving. I’m 30 now and it’s tough to find extra cash and time between kids and my other hobbies to really properly upgrade my lagoon 25.

A lagoon 25.. NICCCE! U have a build thread for that yet??! :);)

I unfortunately do not. It’s in a bad state right now. Algae and aiptasia everywhere. I moved the higher value stuff over to this tank because I feel a crash is imminent. I will be taking a few days to revamp the lagoon next week.

Gotcha, sorry about the algae and aptasia, have you considered cleaning it up lax and adding a predator to eat the aptasia after u handle the algae?

I will be doing nearly a 100% water change over 3 days. Then I’ll be picking up some peppermint shrimp. I don’t have anything that they can pick at anymore so hopefully they aren’t the lazy type.

Pics of yesterday’s additions. They are still kind of upset. I may have to dial back the return pump. BADF7A38-AE4E-4B9F-B1A5-29093741C66C.jpeg C9F46383-29DD-4A43-B88C-AC32B7C541A5.jpeg 4F096B9F-088B-4D03-9728-052C6A690A28.jpeg

Looks like they are getting happier!

So cool! Make sure to update on what you picked up

I will be sure to do that. I called the lfs and they are fully stocked. I will defiantly be leaving with a few pieces.

Managed to make it home from the lfs without dropping major coin. I picked up 2 astrea snails, 2 scarlet hermit crabs, and a nice green hammer. Tomorrow I will be doing a small water change and adding a mini bag of chemipure blue.

I’m not really a fan of the Aquarium Cam app. I feel I can get better pics adjusting the wb manually on my iPhone. Oh well $2.99 is a drop in the bucket in this hobby.
