toad stool leather has extended for a while

Had a toadstool leather in my 30g for a while. It grew and got thicker for a few months then started to stop extending and hadn't for over a month.

Got a new tank! 120g. I move the toadstool leather to the 120g and it starts extending again :). Did that for 2 weeks. Started looking alot bigger....then....stopped extending. Prob been 2 weeks now without extending.

What are your water parameters? There is generally one of two possibilities. One is there's something in the water it doesn't like. And two its shedding, which can sometimes take a week or multiple weeks. As long as it's not melting away it should be fine :)

It doesnt seem to be melting....it just looks sad without its polyps. I will do a full test and see what is up. Ive been considering moving it....maybe ill give it a couple more weeks.

My toadstool survived a cycle so they r tough suckers. Could be saving energy to grow . Mine waxed over for two weeks straight then came out like a brand new toad. Longer polyps and more vibrant
