Hi everyone.
I got a new toadstool frag last evening that had been rubber banded to a small piece of rubble....this morning the rubber band had broken and the frag was stuck over in the corner laying in the sand.
Frag looks unharmed but I am unsure how to get it to stay where I need it to attach. Do I try to re rubber band it or what, what are my other options?

Hmmmm.... the frag is curled up in such a way I don't think I could get glue on the underside to attach it. I'm afraid I'll get glue on some of the polyps
I'll try and post a pic of the coral piece.

dont wanna glue it directly, do this get a piece of panty hose or bridal vail material, cut a piece and wrap it around the frag and the rock and rubberband it back down, make sure you dont put the rubberband on the coral itself. The netted material will allow it to get flow and light, it will take about 2 weeks in order for it to go and attach , at that point remove the material and rubberband and tada!!!!

Here is a quick shot of the frag in the spot I'd like it to grow.

Get sewing thread and do a few not to tight loops around toadstool and wherever you want it to stick and after 2-3 days he should be attached.

Yea it is pretty hard to hurt a soft coral. so do what you need to keep it in place. Do not be turned off about sticking it with a toothpick. you will not harm in one bit. So stick a toothpick through it and use the rubber band to hold it in place if you need to. it really might take more then a few days to get the coral to stick, so you might have to use the toothpick method...

I've made it a nice tight little cocoon out of sewing thread. it can't move one bit....if that doesn't work than I will think about a tooth pick OUCH
Thanks for all the advice guys!

Well thread didn't work....the frag floated out from under it after a few days.
I now have it toothpicked down. Seems nice and secure. Will give it another week with the toothpick before I check it.

The best IMO is to put the toothpick straight throw the middle of the frag then use the toothpick to wind the rubber band around the rock. If that makes sense at all....
