Toadstool turning white

Can anyone tell me why toadstool is turning white.

All perams are fine I checked this morning and all other corals are thriving.

Decently mid flow as well as about 180 par which it was in before for a while and happy.

It looks like it is shedding to me, unless anyone else chimes in, I would just watch it the next few days. Leathers are really resilient.

What is shedding ?

So, leathers are interesting in the coral world, they will retract all of their polyps, and basically shed the top layer of 'skin' in a waxy layer. Then they return to normal. This helps them clean themselves and stay healthy. Here is more info, but I don't know the source too well.

In my experience, yes, these coral will slough or shed their outer layer. Overall, these animals are quite hardy, I'd give yours some more time to bounce back

Did you turn off the flow for the video? That is not medium flow IMO, thats almost no flow at all. Leather corals like a good amount of flow. If not enough flow, detritus builds up on it blocking the light, there has to be enough flow to blow detritus off the coral and also to help it shed, which is what I see here IMO, it needs more flow than that.

No it’s night so my flow has a slower pattern. During the day it ramps up. And it is places directly beside the wave makers path so it gets good flow

With those growing monti's right beside it I believe you. Perhaps a video during the day? Could it be getting too much light and flow maybe?

The white parts are not holes right, like a hermit crab bite lol ?
